AUTOGRAPH HELP: Pete "Hit King" Rose

There is an autograph signing coming up in April here in Ohio,

Tickets are $55 for a baseball, flat or mini helmet and include a free "Hit King" or "4256" inscription. Any other inscription is $15.00.

Here is my quandary, and here is where you come in...if you were attending the signing...

What would you get signed!? and what inscription would you get?

That is actually a decent price for a Rose auto, his Vegas signings are around $100 plus more for an inscription. I think I would have a baseball signed and add a "ROY" inscription.

I was thinking of getting a card or photo signed rather than a ball.

Buy the item on the secondary market if you haven't met him. Haha. But I would find a nice unique 16x20 or a Hits 4256 Steroids 0 ball.

I like the older Pete because it has plenty of room for a signature or an inscription. The younger Pete pic is nice but don't like the way the bottom half is cropped.

That is what I was thinking as well.
Just trying to find something unique for Pete to sign is difficult.

On a sidenote I didn't realize actor Paul Giamatti is the some of the late commissioner.

In terms of cards I would say his RC. For photos, try finding one of his 4256th hit or better yet find his first and have him inscribe "1st of 4256"

While I got a chuckle when I first read it, I am not sure I completely understand your meaning of it....and it might piss Mr. Rose off. LOL!

Thats a little expensive. I just participated in a private signing on the 28th. Cost me $25. Inscriptions were a little extra.

But if you want to pay that amount I would get him to sign Hit King with his # of hits

$25.00!! Wow. But it was a private signing, did you get to meet him?
Every other public signing I have seen of him has been upwards of $65.00.

A Sports Gallery is a great place.

I like the "Bet on Red" inscription. I wouldn't however get his RC signed. Rare card, you don't want to do that. Maybe a reprint of that if you're set on a card.

He's a good signer and the $55 price is about right...
