Default Favorite pop 1 - graded card

Let see your favorite Pop 1 graded card that you own. Baseball only. I'll start.

I love this years Tribute and thought this card looked great.

Why is the BGS grade slab sitting on top of the plastic in the OP?

Here's my favorite Pop 1

My guess is it's sitting on a spacer becasue the Tribute cards are thick?

Also, is this where I get to post a picture of my 2010 Bowman Platinum Ike Davis RC Base BGS 3 Pop 1?

Is it just me or does anyone else get annoyed with People saying pop 1s of cards that no one else would want graded or are so low numbered that either it's the only 1 of it's kind aka 1/1s or the others just haven't been pulled yet aka /5 or /10

I'm going to pick relatively "common" cards that are part of my PC and are pop 1s. I've also picked one for each of my main PCs, they're all favorites

Pedro Martinez first Topps card - pop 1 of 18, none higher

Mike Piazza 1993 Pinnacle Rookie Team Pinnacle - love the artwork, and very condition sensitive given the black border. Pop 1 of 16, none higher

Only annoyed if their price is insanely high because of it.

A 2007 Topps Opening Day David Wright PSA 8? Pop 1?

Must be worth $45, at least.

I think the ones no one else grades are at least fun. Agree with you on the 1/1s.

/5 pop 1s are ok, just not that impressive.

Pop 1 of 18 means 18 have the same grade? That's not pop1 its pop18.

Pop1 means there are no there copies out there of that card with the grade. Pop2 means there are 2, etc.

No, it's a Pop 1 like I said. There is only one card that BGS has graded as 9.5. the 18 refers to how many that grading service, in this case BGS, has graded. The pop usually refers to that specific grade. often times, knowing the total population that has been graded is useful context --

eg, "Wade Boggs 1983 topps rookie psa 10 has a pop of 382. thee total graded population is over 9,000." that's a lot more meaningful than if there were 382 psa 10 rookies and psa had only graded 400, meaning that 90% of the submissions got pristine grades.

so when i said "it's a pop 1 of 18, none higher" it means this is the highest graded card of its type, and there are 17 with lower grades
