That's freaking terrible. This is the first time I watched a box break on line. I always avoided it because I felt like it would make me want to bust wax....yeah. Now I have no want to break wax today.

I watched this but never collected back in that time. How much was what he bought and why was the box so brutal? What could he have gotten from those boxes?

$100 a pack back in 03-04. I'd guess that box cost him $1000 or so. Probably more. He could have pulled the typical UD stuff: Jordan, Lebron rookie, some legend autos. Totally not worth the risk.

just checked some cards that came out of this on ebay and seems like he was just trying to light his money on fire. jordan ultimate signatures go for sub $600 and even if he pulled a lebron true rc he would maybe break even if the 1k a box selling price is correct.

I can't believe Upper Deck actually put out $100/pack product with ZERO hits in 1 out of every 4 packs. People nowadays love to rip into Panini for not putting in value in their products, but for $100, you should at least get something more than 3 base cards and 1 rookie!

Back in the day rookies used to sell well. Now everyone expects nothing but hits and don't care for SP rookies or inserts.

There's also the Auto Patch RC's, Auto Logoman (although every big name RC has been pulled), and Gold Signatures. An on card MJ Ultimate Gold Sig /23 would fetch a lot of coin
