Filings in UD v UD Case Allege Panini Looking at Acquiring Upper Deck

I think UD is just about dead anyway. Exquisite isn't the same.

Obviously I'd prefer to get UD back to making licensed cards, but that's not happening.

Think of pulling a Silho-Prime of Jordan or a Dual logoman auto of Lebron and Kobe (and yes I know Kobe is already Panini)

this would be crazy. panini would have full rights to jordan and lebron ( im guessing for the remainder of their contract with ud) and have the rights to all upper deck, fleer, and skybox designs.

The hobby needs Jordan and Lebron autos in nba licensed products. I don't give a damn if box prices rise...it will be worth it.

This has alot of pros and cons but I think it may be a good thing, then you get jordan and lebron to sign in their NBA uniforms, and you get spa, ud black, exquisite all back so it has its pros, cons Panini could way overproduce stuff

With the way things have changed since the licensing and death of Richard ud fans such as myself may have been on the fence with the potential change in the exclusive contracts. I imagine for people who own many mj bulls auto, the worry of values going down extends to not only if and when more bulls autos hit the market but all also who puts them out and in what sets.

As mentioned by many there are many sets that seem unfinished with the lack of mj. It's these sets that would force me to say yes to the merger. What would force me to say no is the low end sets and stickers.
