Default UK to be #1 thanks to TX defeat!

I think UK will be number 1 now on MONDAY when ranks come out as long as they don't mess up and get beat this week! I think they will be OK? Anyone think I am right or you think I am wrong? GO CATS!

Your right unless they lose....which they won't. I expect Kentucky to go undefeated during the regular season.

i was just going through the rest of the season, their all SEC games (hardest conference) They got Arkansas (H) south carolina twice, vandy twice, ole miss (H) LSU, bama (H), miss state (A), georgia (A), and last game Florida at home
my question is besides Florida, who else u think will beat them? they may have a bad night but with 4 good players if one guy has a bad night another guy will pick it up. I will go 20 bucks on a perfect season!

just looked at top 25 as of today out of the last games KY has TENN is number 8 that will be their hardest game, and mississippi state is 22nd. Maybe South carolina may be decent and LSU isnt bad either, but I think they can have a perfect season (If they want to that is)
be like indianapolis and take one one the shoulder on purpose

They will have trouble beating Vandy at Vandy.

and South Carolina has been their achilles before....SEC is very difficult, yeah Vandy at Vandy is a tough game....they are good but perfection would be difficult.

SEC is the hardest conference? You're smoking crack. THe Big Ten, Big East, Big 12, and ACC are all head and shoulders above the SEC...from top to bottom. Kentucky will lose 2 or 3 games in conference. They could barely handle a UGA team with little talent and an Auburn team that hasn't been good since Barkley left.

Tennessee would be the toughest test they face but post felony convictions they aren't the same. Alabama is tough to play on the road but are too young to go to UK and win. I predict they fall to UGA at Georgia and away at Vandy.

And Purdue beat them pre-felony convictions. They were a good team before but you can't say they are better without Tyler Smith and Williams.

On paper the Tennessee game will be the toughest... I'm pretty confident that they will beat them.... It's the unexpected team that will get them... If they stay focused they could go undefeated regular season... GO CATS!!!

Purdue has a pretty good team every few years... But isn't or probably never will be an elite powerhouse ... I mean come on it's Purdue...Its not their fault...What can they offer to recruits... Come on to Purdue we can umm Find a pinecone, spread it with peanut butter, roll it in birdseed, and hang it outside near a window where you can watch the birds enjoy their treat....

They will lose atleast 2 games as they have a #@#@#@#@#@#@ of a Feb Schedule. They will lose 2 of these 4 games. At Georgia, at Tennessee, at Miss St, at Vandy.. And no the SEC isn't any where near the Big East, or Big Ten.

And yes I will take you up on that $20 bet because if Kentucky goes unbeaten they would be the best team we have seen since the 70's and I will be the first to admit it.

No doubt UK is a stronger basketball school...but its dumb to say that the team with the most overall Big Ten titles only has a good team every few years. Remind me how great UK has been over the past 5 years again...oh yeah...no better than Purdue up until now.

Purdue has plenty to offer recruits...especially a better education (don't blame me...blame the US News and World reports lists) and a coach that is there to teach basketball first of course and how to be a better man second. If you look at our 2 best players Robbie Hummel and E'twaun Moore...both of them have 3.8 GPAs or better. AND they both are solid NBA prospects. If for some reason the NBA doesn't work out for these guys they will always be set for life because of what they did at Purdue...and not just on the basketball court.

Purdue is a college basketball program....no telling what UK is now with Callipari at the helm. You're naive if you think John Wall has attended a single class in the spring. We've lost out on plenty of one and done players in the state because we strictly enforce class attendance while at school...not just the bare minimum to stay eligible. Shoot, we've even booted 2 of our best players for that reason and ended up having less than stellar seasons because of it. Would Kentucky do the same? I say no, especially since they hired a coach that would stop at nothing to win and got caught (yet not punished) at his 2 previous stops..

So no, we don't have any payments to offer our players to come to Purdue but we do have a solid basketball and academic program to offer them once they do decide to come. Couple that with being in the state of Indiana...pretty much the Mecca of high school basketball...we'll continue to be better than having a good team every few years.

Who cares about the past 5 years? What about the last decade?

ehhh not one of the best decades in UK history either. Ran off a pretty successful coach in Tubby Smith and didn't win any national titles (1998 was the last one). Also pretty much gave up the top spot in the conference to UF in the second half of the decade.

Its all good...once Callipari buries UK in sanctions and skips off to his next gig you guys will be just like IU fans talking about the glory days of the 70s and 80s.

#1...Cheerleading isn't an NCAA sport...

#2 Purdue would have a billion conference titles after playing basketball in the SEC too.

#3 this isn't about jealousy. I feel the same way my arch rival Bobby Knight feels about it. There's something dishonest going on. Especially with his track record. You may be proud of your coach but then you must also be proud and teach your kids to win at all costs. Even if it involves cheating. That's what supporting Callipari as your coach means. I just think the people who support him currently have no clue what he has done in the past or too naive to think anybody could do that.

The SEC has been down for 2 years. But don't even act like the SEC is a notoriously weak conference. Because you will sound like a fool if you try to argue that.

No, but a lot of experts would argue that from top to bottom the Big Ten is traditionally stronger.

Sorry I said decade - I meant the last century from RUPP to CAL! Some NICE TEAMS! No need to post anything else!

PS.....Don't tell cheerleaders that what they do isn't a sport LOL
