Paul Pierce announces he will be released
On his Facebook page...
"To all the Celtics fans out there unfortunately i have played my final game in green i will be released this offseason... I WILL BE BACK.... someday!!!!" Can't see Garnett sticking around. Kudos to the best pure scorer in Celtics history. |

It was bound to happen someday, the end of an era for the Celtics. These next few years with Green/Williams/Crawford/Sullinger should be interesting.

Pierce was always overrated, padded his stats while the C's sucked....
Not even top 10 in Celtics history IMO Farewell lol

Paul Pierce always frustrated me. His game is so ugly but he was so good lol
He will be a Laker or Clipper.

Wow, leading Celtics scorer of all time isn't he? And just getting released? That kinda sucks. Never liked him as a player but surely loyalty is worth more than just a release. Guessing he wants to keep playing and the C's don't want him anymore. Hopefully he retires as a Celtic.

What Pierce "expects" to happen doesnt mean it will happen...
And every article since he posted this says its purely his own thoughts. The Celtics will try to trade him first.
