Default Need help with a 2003 SP Authentic 1/1 card

I posted an Omar Vizquel 2003 SP Authentic 1/1 card on eBay tonight without thinking too much of it. An eBayer contacted me and let me know that 1/1's are not on the SP Authentic checklist for that year. Sure enough, it wasn't listed on Beckett.com. Does anyone have any information on this card? Is it fake? Was it back-doored? It looks legit and the 1/1 gold foil matches the rest of the foil on the card. The hologram on back looks like a legit Upper Deck hologram. Thanks for any info!

Yea that 1/1 stamp looks REALLY off... Never seen a stamp in that location or in that font/size.

Thanks. I updated the note in the listing to let buyers know it's an aftermarket stamp.

While this is a nice gesture, for your protection I'd just take it down. Will save you some headaches.

It looks no different from the regular base card, other than someone added a fake looking "1/1" stamp. Look at all the other 2003 SP Authentic serial'd #'d cards and you'll see the stamp is just the standard looking gold stamp.

I appreciate the advice, but I've seen other aftermarket and "custom" cards sold on eBay, some even passed by PSA. As long as I'm up-front about what it is (I'll change the title as well), and verify with the buyer that they know what they are buying, I shouldn't have any problems.

Seems dumb, but there's a small market for aftermarket. Search the board.

You mean for fake? Ok I'm gonna go stamp all my cards 1/1 and sell them as "aftermarket"

You might want to give it a try...look at some of those completed sales for "Custom 1/1".
