Really Ebay??!!?

So I had a card listed (only a $10 card) buy it now and some loser with zero feedback clicked the buy it now button. Big surprise, 3 days later I see the "id is no longer a registered ebay user". So, I cancel the transaction and ebay responds accordingly. Cancels it immediately, and when I relist it, I get hit with the listing fee!

Look, the $ isn't the issue, it's the principle!! I already had it listed once and paid the fee, and just because some loser decided to be an arse I get hit with the fee again??

I had my first NPB last week and thought the same when I relisted it. It sold for $1 more today though, covers the dime.

I agree, but it is what is is. Fortunately it's only $.10 for the most part.

I know if an item goes unsold you can relist it and if it sells the second time your listing fee is refunded. I'm pretty sure it's different for an item that "sells" though. Knock on wood I haven't dealt with any non-payers recently though so I couldn't say for certain.

OP make sure you have the "Pay Immediately" option required for BIN's, but note you can't use it if you have best offer come in. It's best to remove the best offer completely and just put your items on sale periodically.

If you would have waited a bit, eBay would have just cancelled the transaction themselves and credited back the listing fee and fvf and removed the transaction from the record. Like it all never happened. This just happened to me wi two cards. Same situation.

eBay noobs, take this as a lesson so we don't have to have 10 more of these exact same threads next week.

If you have Buy It Now, just take the extra tenth of a second to click Require Payment Immediately. Saves ALL of us from the headaches as we don't have to hear you crying because you failed to use a protection that eBay actually DOES provide you.

So, because this is the first time I have encountered this issue that makes me an ebay noob? I do have a 300+ rating and top seller/power seller status... still a small fish in a big pond but my question now is, at what point is one not considered a noob on ebay?

Why am I seeing more and more smart a_ _ remarks on here these days versus logical conversation?

Pretty sure you will get credited the fee for the previous auction in a few days.

exactly, you had a finished item with a winning bidder and cancelled it but the listing fee should still go through. If you just did NPB Ebay would have refunded your listing fee no problem
