Exclamation WTTF Jason Tyner

Looking for any and all Jason Tyner cards that you have! There are less than 200 total different cards of his made, so each one helps my supercollection a lot!

Will trade in your favor for any 1/1s of Tyner out there!

My current Tyner needs are listed here

These have been hard to come across, so each card helps, even singles!

Thanks in advance for the help!

The first game I went to was Tyner's debut, I think. Brewers vs Mets at County Stadium, July 2000. Was looking through some boxes a couple of weeks ago and came across him. Just base I'm afraid.

HOLY CRAP I haven't heard Tyners name since he was a minors guy back in Rochester playing for the Wings, liked him back then, good luck

Sportlots is a great place for you to grab some of the more common singles - Inventory

Also this plate was on COMC someday since the google result popped up - http://www.comc.com/Cards,=2007+Uppe...+Jason%20Tyner

Ya this is a crazy name drop, I remember this guy with the Rays and couldn't get over how small and thin he was. I cringed everytime he got hit.

Veedon- If you can trade the cards you have, please shoot me a PM! Probably 75% of Tyner's cards are base cards, so they all help with completion!

Spastik- Do you know if there is any way to tell who bought the Tyner Plate thru COMC? Would make tracking it down 10x easier, but I don't know of any ways to do so

General comment: I have bought a few Tyner cards thru COMC, but I'm trying to only buy the scarcer ones I don't already have a copy of. I figured that the base cards would be cheaper to trade for since the print run is that much higher. Only problem is, as several have noted in this thread, the name association is pretty low now

Thanks to all that have responded!

Not that I know of, but maybe if you could find the seller you could find out who bought it if they made an offer or something. That's pure speculation though, no real idea.

As for your general comment, I highly suggest Sportlots for the base stuff if you haven't checked it out yet. I used to collect Fred McGriff and while I would use COMC/Ebay/Beckett Marketplace/forums to get the higher priced stuff, I used Sportlots to grab all the cheap base and singles. I once got like 35 cards for $9.90 delivered, and I'm sure you could get at least that price (if not cheaper) since Tyner doesn't have the name recognition of McGriff. The site is a little tricky to navigate at first and there aren't nice pictures like on COMC, but it's dirt cheap and shipping is usually pretty fast. Might be cheaper in the long run than trading over and over because trade mail adds up. Just my 2 cents.

Good idea for looking for the seller too- Wouldn't have thought of that. I haven't found a way to do that yet though either. Might send COMC a message asking if it is possible to find the buyer/seller

Thanks for the info on Sportslots! I looked through their Tyner cards earlier and it does look really cheap- Might just have to put in a few orders pretty soon

Yeah if you can find one seller with a lot of Tyner stuff you'll be good to go. Even if you buy from 3-4 sellers the shipping is still pretty cheap.

I've bought a few Tyner cards from COMC in the past few days and my page (link in original post) has been updated as such. Any help out there with the rest?
