Default Oscar Taveras vs Wil Myers .. We have a WINNER

Jason Parks, one of the best minor league analysts gives his take on comparing the two. Let's just say it's one-sided people and those who follow prospects REAL CLOSELY, knew this all along. One is a very "special" hitting prospect and the other is a very nice hitting prospect. BIG DIFFERENCE. You don't worry about where he will play, they will make a spot for him, trade or whatever. When your that good, teams find a place for your bat in the lineup. Here is the link ... Oscar Taveras Or Will Myers? Jason Parks(BP) Gives His Pick - YouTube

Very interesting take on the debate. That AA fact about Taveras is really something I would have never considered. Thanks for sharing.

Anyone who follows prospects "REAL CLOSELY" knows only a fool predicts a career from a few minor league games.

There might just be a few examples (just maybe) of players ranked #1 who tanked.

Cant say we have a winner until one of them actually does something. Scouting reports and minor league stats and Draft position really mean nothing, ask Albert Pujols.

Oscar has over 1,000 minor league at bats and Myers has even more. By the way, how many minor league at bats did Bryce Harper have before everyone put him at # 1 ?? Zero.

Thanks Houdini, for futher illustrating what an Idiot you are

Relax man. Houdini is right though, Not every "special" hitting prospect works out. Besides, it isn't really worth arguing who is better at this point in their careers.

I'm going to go out on a limb here..... and say that the OP may possibly have a wee bit of a problem with Houdini I thought Houdini's post was spot on.
