Andrew Luck Investment?

Let me begin by wishing everyone happy holidays and hope everyone stays safe.

I am taking a break from the hobby, and would like to pick up one nice Andrew Luck autograph as a sort of investment. Football is not my main sport, but I know his Chrome and his RPA go for a good amount. Just wondering are there any products in the future where he could have a very nice on card RPA, maybe National Treasures? Of the ones out, which ones are the most popular, or seem to be the ones collectors go after? Lastly, is this a good time to buy? They may go up during the playoffs, and during the off season they may be hard to come by at a reasonable price. Just looking for some opinions.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I would say wait until the offseason. Unless they win the Super Bowl, they should at least decline in price a little then. Also, more products will be out and maybe even NT (who knows how long it will be before that comes out).

Now they are probably the highest they'll reach in the next year

I think when this year is done and gone, his most desirable cards will be:

National Treasures
Contenders
Topps Chrome
Strata/Finest

NT and Contenders will be very close though...

I would wait and grab a contenders. I love the design this year bringing back the "98" style contenders. I'm saving so that I can grab at least a few of these.

His prices will never be this high even if he is the best quarterback to ever play. The only ones that will hold value are his 1/1s or like 10 or less everything else is overproduced.

Out of the products that are out, Chrome would be your best bet. And right now is THE WORST time to buy Luck. I'd wait a little longer and get a contenders auto personally. This years NT is UGLY

How do figure? Look at every star players cards? Nobody's sell for as much as luck and RG3 except Rodgers Brady and manning and thats because there autos are very limited. So pretty much is the truth, good luck with your theory of investing in cards long term.
