Pre-ordering boxes on eBay

How long am I protected by PayPal? Never really checked but I want to order strata at $80 per box...any opinions? Don't want to buy too soon but don't want the price to go up

My rule of thumb. NEVER buy boxes on Ebay.

well that's a good rule as well.

I've bought one back when I first got back into the hobby and haven't since. Cases aren't an issue, but boxes just seems like a losing proposition.

Because half the boxes you see on there are people who buy a case, open till they get the case hit(s) and then sell the rest of the boxes. There are also people who will "study" case breaks to see which boxes in the case have the biggest hits, pull them out and sell the rest, and then there are those who weigh their boxes, open the heaviest and sell the rest.

Which in my opinion is personally fine for the seller as they bought the boxes/cases and can do what they want with it besides re-sealing. But as a buyer, I wouldn't want to risk buying a box on ebay and get one of those boxes that the odds are already stacked against you in pulling something big.

And that's if you get an HONEST seller. Some guys will carefully open the box, open packs until they get a box hit, top the box back off with packs, and reseal it.

Buy Everything on Ebay.

Make sure you do it more than 45 days before release.

DON'T back with a credit card.

DO buy from new sellers.
