Default Something you've always wanted a card company to do?

Just curious but what are some things you think would be very new and innovative for cards?

I liked Topps Grill Gears in UFC think those will be some sick redemptions!

Very interesting idea. Personally, I thought it was cool how a couple of years ago I pulled a redemption for free tickets to a baseball game. Definitely one of the cooler "cards" I've pulled

1. Redemptions for boxes!!! F.I. opening 2012 topps update, you can pull a redemption for a box of 2012 TTT
2. Retire card number 42, or always give it to Jackie
3. Real patches/Autos/Parallels to chase instead of just plain manu patches in blasters
4. I liked the bowman lucky rookie redemptions, it would be really cool if they were able to do something like that more often, and sneak Olt, Vitters, Jackson, and Harvey into a product like chrome
5. "Medium End" $20 packs, with a guaranteed hit

I could keep going, but I'll stop here

More redemptions for game used stuff in their entirety- not cut up. Pants, jerseys, helmets, cleats etc.

I think a redemption to All-Star weekend would be pretty cool.

Redemption cards for season tix or the world series. In the product they could add cut ups of tickets of "famous" games like game 7's or perfect games.

I would love to see better design on jersey cards. Instead of a simple square, or funny lettering (TTT), cut out a silhouette of the player for the window. Now that would look pretty.

This was kind of already done with the Yankee Stadium Legacy. The first to put together the full set got an All Star Game Weekend...

The guy who won it said he spent close to $50,000 on the set and the trip was worth $15,000. If I remember right.

Wonder what the complete set should be valued at too.

didn't Upper Deck once have a product with redemptions for cleats, jerseys, hats, etc? i seem to recall they did one year.

also, do away with the stickers and redemptions (i understand the necessary evil, just don't like it)

and yeah, maybe cool things like trips to a World Series game, batting practice with your home team, or some other once in a lifetime thing. UD once had a round of golf with Tiger in one of their products, the current UFC stuff has a chance at a trip to a live event. why not do that in their baseball products?

Detailed info of where the "game used" item came from instead of the generic authenticity on back.

loved how old Donruss used to use pictures of the items game used stuff was cut from.

also would like to see a scanned database of jersey/patch/gu cards from companies. takes a lot of work, but for people who want to know the authenticity of some patches, all they would have to do is look up the card on a website and check to see if it was altered.

What Onyx is starting to do now with incorporating game used catcher equipment and other pieces like logoman from batting gloves and redemptions for game used items like bats, cleats and hats.

I'm on track with what this poster said! Free packs or boxes redeemable at any hobby store that deals the product! Or even online. It would be very cool to know I have a box of something coming that I didn't have to pay for or that I didn't have to worry about how I was going to pay for it.

How about miscellaneous items players have used, like tape, extract pine tar from their bat, eye black strips, ankle/eblow braces. The list really does go on and on...

I'm sorry but how would giving away 1000s of free boxes make sense?
