08 topps chrome question

I don't know if anyone is familiar or had an experience like I had last night on a case of 2008 Topps Chrome basketball. I opened the entire case not receiving a single Gold Refractor /50. Stated odds on the wrapper are I believe 1:12. Just curious as to if anyone has had this experience before and how easy Topps is to deal with? And if so, what do they usually send for compensation? (nothing outstanding I'm sure) I called them this morning, but they only have a 5 day work week. (Mon.-Fri.) Thanks for any help!!

I don't think Topps would treat an insert like it would a rookie auto. The only thing it says on the top of the 08/09 Topps Chrome Bskb box is "1 ROOKIE AUTOGRAPH CARD IN EVERY BOX". You could ask Topps but I'd be very suprised if they sent anything. They will probably play the ON AVERAGE game w/ you.

my case had no golds.......... i sent in the UPC from each box, all the wrappers and a receipt. they sent me back 10 gold refractors with the best being a Carmelo Anthony......

This is along the lines of what I am expecting. Don't know if it's even worth following up with.

wow I didnt realize Gold Refractors were 1:12 packs makes you realize how much bowman chrome baseball is produced when you only get 1 or 2 per CASE!
