Default More Signed baseballs to ID...

We got another batch of balls and these are some we are either not quite sure or have no idea who they are. I appreciate the help and feel like it's fun for all of us to be guessing these.
Thanks,
Vinny

It looks like #8 & #14 were signed by the same person.

Yes 8 and 14 are the same now that I see them together. I just threw them together from a bigger box.

...I wouldn't put much stock into it though - i had it run the second image, and -- the fact that it thinks that #10 was Henry Blanco raises a flag. I just looked for other signatures of Blanco's and I don't think it's a match.

This second set of baseballs continues the Chicago Cubs theme, featuring players and personnel primarily from the 2005–2008 era. This timeframe is highlighted by the presence of Juan Pierre (who played only in 2006) and Alfonso Soriano (who arrived in 2007), suggesting the collection spans closely related seasons or was gathered at a Cubs Convention.

Here is the identification for each autograph:

#10: Henry Blanco (Catcher)

Why: He wore #24 during his time with the Cubs (2005–2008). His signature often starts with a stylized "H" that resembles an "M" (two humps) followed by a looped "B", matching the "M... Z..." appearance.

#11: Kerry Wood (Pitcher)

Why: This is a classic Kerry Wood autograph with a distinct "K" loop and "W" loop, often looking like "K--- W---". He was a franchise icon for the Cubs during this entire era.

#12: Bob Brenly (Broadcaster)

Why: The signature reads "Bob" clearly, followed by a last name starting with a "B" that loops like a "P". Brenly has been the Cubs' TV color analyst since 2005.

#13: Alfonso Soriano (Outfielder)

Why: The signature features a large "A" and "S" loops, and the number #12 is inscribed inside the loop. Soriano was the Cubs' star left fielder starting in 2007, wearing number 12.

#14: Derrek Lee (First Baseman)

Why: The signature reads "Derrek Lee" with a clear "D" and looped "L", followed by the number #25. He was the team's Gold Glove first baseman and a fan favorite.

#15: Dave Smith (Pitcher / Coach)

Why: The signature is quite legible as "Dave Smith". While he was a Cubs closer in the early '90s (1991–92), he is a common guest at team conventions.

#16: Ryan Dempster (Pitcher)

Why: The signature features a large, looping "R" and "D" which is characteristic of Dempster's autograph. He was a starter and closer for the team during this period.

#17: Jacque Jones (Outfielder)

Why: The signature consists of two large "J" loops ("J... J..."). Jones played right field for the Cubs in 2006 and 2007.

#18: Juan Pierre (Outfielder)

Why: The signature starts with a "J" loop and has a distinct "P" loop for the last name. Juan Pierre was the Cubs' center fielder for the 2006 season.

Collection Summary
This lot is a snapshot of the 2006–2007 Cubs roster, featuring the transition from the Juan Pierre/Jacque Jones outfield (2006) to the Alfonso Soriano era (2007), anchored by long-term stars like Kerry Wood and Derrek Lee.

I'll consider all opinions, even from robots, LOL.
After this exercise I will be exploring samples of PSA and JSA items from eBay and Google images to feel good about any of them. My buddy has a lot more sitting in boxes until I get time to do the research. This all helps push me.
Thanks,
Vinny

Just let this summary sink in.

These are crazy day we live in!

Pretty amazing.

I asked Google Gemini who it think signed the first batch, this is what it said:

Based on the visual evidence and the grouping of the signatures, these are all associated with the Chicago Cubs, likely from the early-to-mid 2000s era (roughly 2003–2008) or a specific event like a Cubs Convention. The collection includes star players, a manager, and team broadcasters.

Here is the identification for each baseball:

#1: Jeff Samardzija (Pitcher)

Why: The signature starts with a looped "J" and "eff", followed by a large looped "S" for his last name. Samardzija was a top prospect and pitcher for the Cubs starting in that era (drafted 2006, debuted 2008).

#2: Rick Sutcliffe (Pitcher / Broadcaster)

Why: The "Rick" and large "S" in Sutcliffe are distinct. Sutcliffe is a Cubs legend (Cy Young winner) and a long-time broadcaster for the team.

#3: Steve Stone (Pitcher / Broadcaster)

Why: The signature reads "Steve" clearly, followed by a looped "S" for Stone. He was the famous TV color commentator for the Cubs alongside Chip Caray until 2004, fitting the "broadcaster" theme with Sutcliffe and Hughes.

#4: Mark Prior (Pitcher)

Why: The signature matches Mark Prior's autograph perfectly, with the "M" and "P" initials being prominent. He was the Cubs' ace pitcher in the early 2000s (2002–2006).

#5: Cliff Floyd (Outfielder)

Why: The "C" and "F" initials are distinct. Cliff Floyd played for the Cubs in 2007, which overlaps with the Lou Piniella era.

#6: Pat Hughes (Radio Broadcaster)

Why: The signature is clearly legible as "Pat Hughes." He has been the "Voice of the Cubs" on radio since 1996.

#7: Aramis Ramirez (Third Baseman)

Why: Aramis Ramirez has a very unique signature where his first initial "A" is stylized to look like a star or an "H". He was the Cubs' star third baseman from 2003 to 2011.

#8: Corey Patterson (Outfielder)

Why: The "C" and "P" with the crossed "tt" in Patterson are visible. He was the Cubs' center fielder from 2000 to 2005.

#9: Lou Piniella (Manager)

Why: The signature reads "Lou Piniella," with the "Lou" being very clear. He managed the Cubs from 2007 to 2010.

Summary of the Collection
This appears to be a Chicago Cubs themed collection, likely gathered around 2007–2008 or at a team convention, given the mix of players who left around 2005-2006 (Prior, Patterson) and those who arrived in 2007 (Piniella, Floyd), alongside long-time broadcasters.

I've gotten autographs from most of the guys listed from from the Gemini engine and none of them look like what is on those baseballs. I don't have pictures of them readily available but I don't think that is accurate at all.

#16 definitely looks like Ryne Sandberg. None of the others look familiar to me.

we are less confused but still researching things. Nice to get reinforcement on Ryno and Gwynn since we thought those were close.
