Eugenio Suarez HoF prospects

A very underrated player which is not surprising considering he’s played with a bunch of second-rate teams. He’s putting up solid numbers, though. And while he’s a tad older, he could still get close to 500 home runs by the time he’s done.

He has a nice career. Better than I would have guessed. Chances of hitting 500 HRs is pretty slim. He has 322 at age 33. Assuming he hits around 30-35 for the next three years, that gives him 425 at age 36. Age decline is going to hit, I don't think he will reach 450, which isn't a knock. I would never had put him in the 400 HR club, but he has a good chance to make that.

All of this to say, no on HOF.

This guy is clearly missing the one thing you need to make the Hall of Fame… fame!

500 HRs, 80 WAR, 3000 hits… they are all just proxies for fame.

Barring a WS game 7 walkoff HR or a stint playing for Tony La Russa, I’m just not seeing it for this guy. What is his name again?
