2025 Shoebox Treasures

Any information on the product? Saw the checklist is out w/ price and drop date, but nothing about the # of cards, packs, etc. I assume similar to Spotlight?

Should be out today at noon on Topps.com. My guess is that it's pretty limited production so won't last long.

Last year they were 4 packs with 7 cards. The autos were 1 in 3. But this is a somewhat different product, not spotlight.

No odds yet, but the auto checklist is impressive if you like retired player autographs (and I do). There's only a few names on the list that I would be disappointed if I got. R.A. Dickey would probably be my least wanted, though I appreciate a good knuckleball, but his was not a HOF career with just Cy Young award and a career 4.04 ERA and 23.7 WAR.

I bought just one regular box. It's a fun rip if it's relatively inexpensive.

The collector's shoebox looked pretty cool and with one guaranteed auto and an encased card, that's probably a good deal if you wanted to spend $200, which I didn't.

I don't even try for cases anymore since the bots eat these up first (not that I wanted one anyway) but was able to get 1 collector's box and a single box.

Tried for the Collector Box but had the wrong Shop account loaded. Sold out while I got that sorted.

Did end up with a regular box though. Fun rip. My only pack pulled 1/1 came out of the first Friedman set.

I was able to get 1 Collector's Box and 1 Regular Box... tried to get more but at least I got something unlike the Bob Ross drop.

It's an error received when the product is no longer in stock.

Cases were gone within a second, Collector's Boxes were gone within 10-15 seconds and Regular Boxes were gone within 1-2 minutes.

I'm new to buying directly from topps and was not able to place an order. Did anyone do anything special to get their order in? I was hitting refresh right when the launch happened. Then I took 2 minutes to evaluate the difference between collectors and the $50 boxes. During that 2 minutes the $50 boxes sold out, but the collectors was still there. I put it in the cart and tried to buy, but they were all gone and I was getting a shipping error.

Is this as simple as not actually taking the 2 minutes to see what I'm buying, if I hope to be one of the lucky ones who gets an order? Or is my manual refresh leading up to the opening time just showing my age? Because it was a solid late 90s ebay strategy.

The current Fanatics' releaase strategy doesn't leave time for evaluation, unfortunately.

People that bought when the clock hit noon had already gotten their pre-orders listed on Ebay by 12:02

This will be a great product, but not at resale prices. $350-400 a box is a bloodbath waiting to happen.
