Default Road Trip: Dallas - Amarillo - Denver - Vail Recommendations?

Next week doing a slow and casual road trip from Dallas to Vail going through Amarillo and Colorado Springs.

Not in the Dallas area, but otherwise looking for good sports card shops to check out. I'm mainly interested in high end vintage and 1980's.

Thanks!

Ha, AI is taking over the benefit of forums. What do you think of its recommendations?

Stop-by Recommendations:

Wichita Falls, TX

Collector’s Den – A well-organized local favorite notable for comics and action figures, likely carrying a solid selection of trading cards too.
discoverwichitafalls.com

Wayne’s World of Sportscards – Focused specifically on sports cards and memorabilia (baseball, basketball, football, hockey).

Amarillo, TX

Troy’s Sports Cards – A dedicated local store offering sports cards and memorabilia—great for browsing diverse selections.

S-S Sportscards Memorabilia – Another well-curated shop for cards and autographed keepsakes.

Colorado Springs, CO

The Shoppe Sports Cards & Collectibles – Call it the hub: sealed wax, singles, TCGs, and PSA grading services—very well-rounded.
theshoppesportscards.com

Impact Sports Cards – Offers a huge variety (sports, TCGs, entertainment), plus consignment, grading help, and collection buying.
Impact Sports Cards

Iron Lion Collectibles – Great if you’re into card breaks or prefer an active hobby environment; sports and TCG, plus fun events.

Denver, CO

Bill’s Sports Collectibles – A must-visit for serious collectors: massive inventory of cards (singles, sets), autographs, and memorabilia.
billssportscollectibles.com

The Hobby Source – Carries trading cards (sports, non-sports, sealed boxes), and is also open to buying and trading collections.
My Hobby Source

Wichita Falls – Hit both shops if you're tight on time; Wayne’s World for focused sports content, Collector’s Den for broader collectibles.

Amarillo – Choose based on vibe: Troy’s for traditional selections, S-S for a curated experience.

Colorado Springs – The Shoppe if you want grading; Impact for a large variety; Iron Lion for events and modern TCG plus sports cards.

Denver – Bill’s for variety and depth; The Hobby Source for trading flexibility and sealed product deals.
