Wish they still made a Lite format of this product. 2022 was the last year I ripped any of this, and it used to be my favorite product each year. Just doesn't make sense to build any sets of it from opening packs anymore. Especially with a 300 card checklist.

But I'm sure it'll be fun for those of you with the budget for it!

Yeah. I’ll sit this one out as well. Just not interested at these ridiculous prices. Not worth it.

Yeah, especially with this rookie card logo class.

I don’t know, but I guarantee it will be ridiculously higher than it should be.

Does Chrome have different rookie cut off dates to Flagship?

Yeah I am not looking forward to paying nearly $1000 AUD for a box.

The big deal is that the market keeps tanking and fanatics keeps raising the prices

sooner or later something will give

It’s not tanking as long as people are buying breaks on fanatics live. That seems to be where Topps is reserving most product. Even large breakers couldn’t get much bowman sapphire. I’m an outsider, I know nothing about business so take this with a grain of salt: that seems like a very poor long term business strategy bc it limits the market. I get it that they’re trying to market the hell out of the marketplace, but they’re losing me, and I know others.

They’re making even more money off fanatics live. They charge for the boxes and then each spot sold. I think I heard they’re getting into repacks, so it’s an absolute cash cow for them. As long as people are dumb enough to buy there, then prices will be high. They really need that repack market bc otherwise, looking at singles, they don’t justify the prices.

I did fanatics live a few times. I got overwhelmed with it. You can’t find old videos. The search function is awful. That and I don’t want to be screamed at by “bros.” It’s just not an enjoyable way to light my money on fire. I guess to each their own. I’m sure some folks love it. I certainly do not. I’m now only buying new releases from a local hobby store and whenever I can remember to log on within 30 seconds if drops. I guess all good things must come to an end.

It's feels so shady for Fanatics to be so into breaking. Repacks are a next level shady. What happened to all those those hits that never showed up in the boxes you opened? Whoa! Look at the nukes getting pulled out of these Fanatics repacks. Hmmmm... okay.

The World Series cards look like the Tokyo Nights design. I like those a lot in hand, but I'm not sure how the effect of the roads will look in Chrome. I like the Fanatical cards as well, although I'm not sure how they differ much from Stadium Club Chrome.

They’re charge breakers for the box. I’ve heard they then charge for what’s sold on the platform. So they get money twice. It’s what I heard anyway. I’m not sure on the percentages. I didn’t ask the details.

Breakers buy the boxes from Fanatics with I assume a direct account, then they have to pay a seller fee when they sell something on Fanatics Live. So, Fanatics is the manufacturer, distributor and sales platform.
