2025 Secret Santa needs someone else to run it..

....or it will not run.

Unfortunately I will not be able to run the 2025 Blowout Secret Santa.

There is some feckless coward with microscopic genitalia and Oedipus complex who has reported 2 of my posts recently for using the term for a female canine. The 1st suspension lasted 4 days and the 2nd a week. I'm not sure how long subsequent suspensions would last but it would just make running the exchange more challenging than it already is.

Mind you all these posts contain or contained that same word at one point

I would like to thank all the great members who have participated over the years. The great things you sent to other members overwhelmed the few losers who were in it just to get something and put no effort into giving.

I will still be doing my Toys for Tots but on a reduced basis. I believe I will get more involved with the organization itself while still buying toys for the kids.

We have donated over 1800 toys since 2013 with 1200+ coming in the last 4 years and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the help the participants have give to make this happen.

I hope it continues! I cant do it as im already overbooked.

We try and apply everything evenly and avoid preferential treatments so id prefer to avoid discussions on the suspensions. I will say generally they double in length per infractions within a calander year.

My issue is not with the mods. It is with the coward.
As it went from 4 to 7 days I figure the next time the coward finds something it would be 10-14 days, that would be inline with what you said,

I am a mod on 2 FB groups with over 50K members. Other mods are black and white in their decisions. I prefer to use common sense and context.

We have a No Politics rule. You post "Candidate X is a POS" then it is deleted. Multiple offenses and you are gone.

You post "Election Day is Tuesday please vote" or "Town Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday please attend" these are not deleted because even though they break the letter of the law for that rule they do not break the spirit of the rule.

Were I a mod here and these 2 were reported I would have edited the posts and reached out the offender as this wasn't name calling and in OT where this is the description of the folder "This section may contain threads that are NSFW. This section is given a bit of leeway on some of the rules and so you may see some mild language and even some risqué images."

I think the word used is mild.

Obviously the mod who suspended me doesn't do the things the same way. Nothing I can do about that. They need to do their job the way they see fit.
