They said it's just the RC logo that's red, and that it will be on only "a limited number" of the refractors.

The fact they have 8 guys on the checklist that are no longer rookie qualifying and cant win ROY is hillarious. Can't wait for people to chase them to only realize they have zero chance of winning anything.

You could always purchase the “All Red Rookie Redemption” spot in a 1/2 case break for the low low price of $250.

Pretty presumptuous of Fanatics to assume they'll even exist in the year say, 2045 if/when one of these rookies makes the HOF to be able to trade you $1000 FanCash for your HOF rookie card. Given the current trajectory of the hobby and inflation, what would that $1000 even buy you at that point, a single pack?

Agreed. Got to love the hype HOF for $1k in 20 years. Just put money in bank with better payback for chances of any rc this year to be HOF.

2045 is the last year of their current contract with MLB, so I would hope it isn't presumptuous for a business to think they will last long enough to fulfill their contractual obligation!

How is it going to be all that different than people buying up Judge/Ohtani Topps Chrome cards last year? In terms of the ROY redemption for this season.

Obviously you won't be able to redeem these in LCSs, but how are people buying singles of players they think will win ROY on eBay and FB/IG/X/Reddit/Whatnot any different than people stacking MVP favorites from Topps Chrome the past few seasons?

Because anyone can win MVP. Only elligible players can win ROY. Of their checklist 8 fo the 30 aren't elligible as they don't qualify as rookies this year. Of the remaining 22, only like 2 are even long shots to win it. All the top contendors based on Vegas odds have either had Rookies in previous years (ie Jasson Dominguez), or dont even have rookie cards yet (ie Kristian Campbell).

Because the MVP buyback program was for all base cards.

This program is specifically for the red RC logo cards. And only the 30 players will have versions with that.

It's not a ROY buyback program for whoever wins ROY. It's a buyback program featuring 30 players. Winning ROY is just first escalator for the buyback value.
