As a Maine fan it would have killed me to see BU somehow win a title this season.

Did I hear right that one of the Western Michigan players won the championship last year with Denver?

Pretty wild move from Denver to WM and you end up winning two championships back to back with different teams...

Denver was an extremely tough team to beat. I can see how they have so many frozen fours. Denver was a better team than Boston. WMU had much more difficult time in open ice against Denver. In a span of ten years, I have seen WMU football go 13-0 and now a Natty in hockey. Awesome!!

BU relied on young guys with a ton of skill. I think WMU matched up well with their play style to shut that down

The team went through a gauntlet to arrive. If not mistaken they had never won a NCAA Tournament game and then hoisted the trophy. Congrats, well done WMU.

I used to work in Junior A hockey and never saw top-tier players committing to WMU. Can't say I ever saw this coming.

Can't really think of anybody worth giving an NIL deal to the last couple of years hockey wise other than the Hughes Brothers and maybe Celebrini...

It tends to be boosters who allocate a smaller amount across the team and then some modest individual deals.

I know Michigan has a team wide deal in place that throws a few bucks to each guy.
