At first I wasn't interested, but now i'm getting more excited for it. Will be interesting to see how the games are.
The biggest thing for me is that players seem more into it than a typical All-Star Game, and that is a good thing. The hockey will be better so at least that will be something.

I'll watch the espn+ games, since I have that subscription. They kinda force us junkies to watch having everything else halted. But I won't pay for multiple subscriptions for any game.

How are the fans in Montreal going to forget to not instinctively boo Marchand every time he touches the puck?

Great game. Was such an important one early because assuming every team beats Finland (which their injuries it looks likely, unless Saros goes nuclear) there's a good chance that last nights winner will ultimately end up in the finals.
Losing Theodore for the tournament already really sucks for Canada though. Sanheim has to step in and alongside Parayko and Doughty leaves them a little thin in that regards. All fine players but Parayko and Doughty hurt the offense a bit last night with their lack of puck movement. Having guys like Petro and Theodore would have made a much bigger impact getting the pucks to the forwards faster. Binner was fine. Yea that 2nd goal wasnt great but he made what, 4-5 huge stops, especially at 3-3 |

I wonder if he still plays, old timer's league or beer league, he looks to be in great shape for his age...

A heck of a lot more interesting that the NBA's idiotic All-Star Weekend....really wish the NBA would switch to a USA v World format.

Took them a bit to get rolling but they dominated as they were expected too.
That Finnish blue line is rough |

So my assumption is the winner of Canada/USA goes 3-0 and is in the championship...
Then the loser goes 2-1 to set up the rematch in the finals? I think I'd rather have seen a Russian team in this thing than Finland, but that's just me...

cant lie the level of play has been really exciting its like an all star playoff game lol
for future ones pumped to see more teams. I know it wont happen but would be awesome to have a rookies vs sophomores thing... i guess thats more of an all star game thing. Like 5 on 5, 3 10-12 min periods |

Rooting for maximum chaos today:
Finland over Sweden in OT and Canada over US in OT. That would put all four teams in play heading into Monday. |
