Default 2024 Topps Gilded CAST IN GOLD AUTO

What is the difference between the cast in gold and regular gold autos? I just won a Jackson Merrill Topps Gilded Cast in Gold Variation Autograph in a break

They’re… golder. Seriously, just take a look on eBay to see the difference. They only come in /199 and /1.

Cast in Gold are the autos of a few of the top rookies. The cards have a subdued gold tint over the whole card. Those players in the cast in gold subset do not have regular gold autos. The cast in gold autos are /199, whereas regular base gilded autos are /99.

I believe the thongs to hold the card while dipping them in gold will leave marks that hurt the card grade.

With the pants they were using early last season, we’ll be able to photo match them.
