With all due respect, are you always hyped towards new qbs? Purdy, Stroud, Bo Nix. And now Shedeur

Yep. I prospect QB's. Watch them in college, scout them a lot, watch them develop. Stock up on some early and cheap. I was flipping Sanders Onyx autos way back for cool profits. Flipped a bunch of Jayden Daniels Sage autos for $$$$. Some I actually like and believe in, some I only view as lottery tickets, and some I just think I can make a nice ROI on. Bought up a bunch of DeVitos for $3 each and 10x my $. Same with Kurtis Rourke. While some people are still waiting for their Burrow and Herbert rookies to pay off, I am already scouting 2026 draft class and beyond

This isn't purely limited to Shedeur Sanders but it is something I'm curious about since you post them fairly regularly
How do these types of pre-professional, unlicensed cards from leaf, wild card, upper deck etc do after professional cards start releasing? Do you sell them after the hype engine kicks in but before the release of pro cards or do they still tend to increase after pro cards come out (assuming the player is good of course) |

Using Sanders for an example, there were hardly any of his cards avail at all until Bowman U. Onyx was the only game in town. I ripped a lot of boxes of Onyx as it was very cheap with a small checklist and pulled a fair amt of Sanders autos, plus I bought several more early on pre $60 range. Once I saw that Sanders was coming out in Bowman, I sold off all my Onyx Sanders autos for $125-$300 range a pop. The logic is, if you buy everything really cheap and load up on it, some players you can 5x, or 10x your ROI and that will more than offset what you spend on players who don't go anyplace. I got lucky and bought probably 10 Jayden Daniels autos for $20 or less. I didn't go out of my way to buy him, I just picked them up as I spotted them. I wasn't a believer in him, and as soon as the Heisman hype came, I was unloading them for $100-$300 each. (I could kick myself for selling them as I was wrong about him, and his raw Sage stuff is still selling for $200+ range. I graded one and sold it for $350. The bottom line is, YES, you can make $$$ QB prospecting, and YES, people still buy unlicensed college products- especially with the Fanatics auto situation. There is no doubt that you should sell on the hype(just like any card)to max out profits. I use those profits to then buy really big cards of my favorite players. Used my Bo Nix profits to buy lots of licensed case hits and big cards for example. I am no expert, just telling you what I am doing to make some profits and using those profits to buy more prospects and PC cards. You will miss on some too for sure. I loaded to the moon on Kyle Trask, Desmond Ridder, Clayton Tune, DeQuan Finn, Sam Huard, and Tanner McKee. I loaded because they were cheap, and they were either a lottery ticket, or I like them long term. Good thing is, if you load up on them cheap and they fail, you get bailed out by your hits, and you can unload the Ridders of the world at the level you bought in on them. |

You can see examples all over- everyone on here says don't buy unlicensed cards, but then they spend thousands on Topps Composite- an unlicensed card, because it's the only game in town for some players and the prices are reasonable |

I didn't realize these sold for so little early on.

I bought every Tommy DeVito for $2-$4, and when he was hot- selling them at $30+ is a real nice ROI. The Jaydens too really cheap. You can not do this with just every player, for example- Arch Manning, he already has HOF and SB MVP built into his prices. You need to find the diamonds in the rough, the ones you see potential in, and then hold them for a long time sometimes. I sat on those DeVitos for like 18 mos. I am already scooping up guys that won't be drafted until 2027

So is Sanders going to let the Giants draft him or is him and his father going to throw a hissy fit to get him to Vegas?

I hope he goes to Vegas. New York doesn’t need the drama of those two.

Look, this is the internet. This is how it works. If it’s too inhospitable for you, grab a gallon of soy milk and ride off into the sunset buckaroo. |

Again, chiming in in a thread where you have no skin in the game. You wanna be part of the conversation even though you don't have a Sanders card. Look I get it, it's gotta be rough all alone in mom and dad's basement with those hot pockets |

QB prospecting is the worst idea ever. I know. I have stacks of ryan Nassib, john David booty, Paul pinegar, nate Peterman, Sean Mannion, Garrett Grayson, and many more. I stopped in 2017 cause you will lose every single time.

No experience is exactly the same: no results are. It’s NOT a one size fits all answer. All I know is I keep buying that cheap unlicensed college stuff nobody wants for profits to keep feeding my card buying funds
