I have a Metal Universe Avengers high series Wolverine PMG green on COMC and was thinking about grading with CGC via COMC. Does anyone have any experience with that?

Did you pre-grade review it yet? I did that with my 1/1 gold PMG from that set of Human Torch. Once it was loaded back in my midst be headed bucket, I selected the CGC max value submission of $10k and it's currently 1.5 weeks past expected return date, and card is still not back in my account. So assume it's delayed. Will let you know when I get it back.

My recent CGC graded card through COMC was about a month late, after expected date. That was value bulk tier though.
If the motivation is money, PSA is king for value, especially if it has a chance at a 10. If lesser than 10, it probably doesn’t matter as much PSA vs CGC.

PSA = Running about on time, maybe slightly faster(days) than estimated.
SGC = Running about a week early, though that could change since it's "new" to COMC. CGC = Late, always late. Week-month past estimated. Like Dyna mentioned, use PSA if you're going to sell. If it's a "9" with either place, I suspect SGC = CGC, or close...and PSA "should"/will do better.

Wolverine Green it'll matter, assuming it gets the same grade from each company, that is. PSA 8 will be worth more for this particular card than an CGC or SGC 8. 9/10, same thing. Now, if the grade differs, obviously that'd change things. I'd probably send to pre-grade on the Wolverine. I've had mixed results from using it but they're right far more often than they're wrong. You also won't(shouldn't) end up with a PSA 5 from a roller mark you can't see in the scan etc.

I have used cgc with comc in the past and currently have 6 cards out with them right now.... it used to be I'd get my cgc submission back early but since they got hit by a big storm my last couple submissions have come back after the estimated date... like right now I'm waiting on a card that was estimated to return on 11/26...

Yea those storms definitely seemed to set them back a little bit... good thing is unless somebody else sent in a spiderman gold backscatter it looks like my card might have been graded because only 1 shows up in the pop report... I also forgot to look at the pop report prior to sending mine in so there is a chance that the one that is showing was there before I even sent mine in. |
