Target.com and/or UPS scam...?? Anybody else been hit?

It appears as though I've been...."robbed"....via some cunning-scheme, perpetrated by some employee(s) of either/or/both...Target/UPS. Anybody else been hit...???

Long story short; All of the UPS track was correct, until arriving @ my local UPS hub. That's where things get whacky! Supposedly was transferred to the USPS custody via SurePost fulfillment, but NOTHING made sense with the tracking, at this point. Spent about 20 minutes at the P.O. this morning, trying to get to the bottom of this, and the helpful/accommodating Supervisor showed me via their internal system; USPS had NEVER had custody of the piece(s) in question! SurePost tracking numbers don't jibe, packages show as now tracking,...out of state, (NY, CA, & TX) when they're supposed to have been delivered today, in NJ...?! P.O. supervisor explicitly told me (what I was already fully cognizant of); off-the-record, I'VE BEEN SCAMMED!

Quite frankly, it's not [necessarily] the dollar amount (per se) that pisses me off so much; it's the downright, SCUMBAGARY of the whole thing (in addition to the product that was stolen - Topps Chrome Update). Looks like I'm S.O.L. on rippin' it this year! May the SCUMBAG(S) who are behind this, meet Karma,...head-on!!

Others in the TCU thread are showing tracking delivered to other states.
This appears to be a thing, not sure how widespread or what remedies are available.

Much larger problem than just one or two people. I had an order of Mosaic mega boxes from Target yesterday say they were delivered to me, with UPS tracking showing them delivered in Michigan. I live in Pennsylvania. They never made it in the tracking scans east of Illinois.

Not even sure where to start. Have called both UPS and Target, UPS automated claim response online said my package wasn’t available to put a claim on. Target said they will investigate and follow up in 5-7 business days.

I’ve seen several others on different forums having the same issues.

I placed 2 orders the same day, both were due Saturday (today)in Cincinnati. One claimed to have been delivered Wed. by the USPS in Iowa, the other was still on track with UPS. On Friday, UPS went ahead and delivered the 2nd package skipping the PO hand off. When I got it off the porch, BOTH were there. Today, the USPS Surepost tracking said the second package was delivered in NY. I just chalked it up to a glitch in the Post Office.

When were you due the receive the orders originally? Maybe they will still show up.

Just happened to me and I’m from NJ. Says delivered and no package.

Edit: mailman marked as delivered at 1:45. Shows up at 1:58 with mail. WTF

Probably not a scam. More likely some internal shipping error with UPS and/or USPS.

Was just looking on Target. All card products now say - arrives Dec 28. WTF is going on? If you order any cards from Target they won't arrive until after Christmas.

I bought 3 megas of 24 Topps Chrome Update and the package never even got close to me in CA. Went from Iowa and ended up in Bowling Green, KY.

This.....there are huge numbers of temporary employees being hired at this time of year, thus shipping problems go through the roof.

This is why I almost never buy anything valuable online during November/December.

What's the protocol here? Phone call and a refund or is everyone waiting to see if it gets delivered? I would think a refund is the only option here.

I have two of the three delivered to a different state and the third one is looking to end up the same way. Nine boxes total.

All of my orders were eventually delivered. Even the orders that were “delivered” to other parts of the country.

Unless it's an item you absolutely need by Christmas and can't get it by then re-ordering or can't get it again period I'd get a refund. There needs to be tangible consequences for things like this, people want to just wait it out and be happy and wonder why these issues are becoming more and more common lol even if it does arrive it shouldn't of made a vacation to another state first lol

I split boxes with a buddy and open while we play video games. We use to do cases back in the day, but the inevitable loss plus cost of cases now haven't made that feasible so we go with blasters instead.

Still lose, but the loss is a lot more manageable. Spent Close to $900 on WNBA blasters and ended up losing I think it was $40 a piece so that's a win in my book.

Yeah once the other item gets delivered elsewhere I plan on making a phone call to Target to get the refund process started unless they can give me a definitive tracking number to my residence.

A shipping company is hired to get a package to the destination. Whether it takes a route you think is indirect or not is irrelevant. All that matters is it gets delivered safely. Who are you to demand it not go to another state first?

I had six orders from Target and every single one showed the same thing....all six of them show that they made it to my local UPS hub and were transferred to USPS for delivery but then show they were all transferred out and then showed locations in WA, VA, FL, NJ, TX, and UT (I am in Idaho).

Low and behold, five of them showed up on Saturday. One is still MIA (shows it was delivered to an address in Iowa on Saturday)---so we will see. Maybe it'll magically show up tomorrow?

It reminds me of looking at a LAX-SAT using miles on American last month. The route was BUR-DFW-LAX-SAT for 6k miles. It was technically LAX-SAT, but it was a heck of a way to get there.
