Huge, lifelong Spurs fan here.

1) A lot of this is on Wemby himself. He's had a non-stop workload since before coming to the NBA. Hasn't really had an offseason, and it's showing in his conditioning.

2) His shot selection is atrocious. Some of this is on him, but it doesn't appear as though he is receiving any coaching whatsoever. The offense is completely disjointed and the team looks even worse than last year. Pop is supposed to be some kind of master, but seems like he's checked out.

3) Brian Wright has once again, like he has throughout his tenure as GM, failed to put together a coherent roster. It's amazing that a coach and GM are allowed to be this bad for so long.

Out of all the prospect coming into this last season. Caitlin is the best and it's not even close

I mean if Haliburton, who is a proven NBA star, can have an off night or three, certainly Wemby can.

I just don't see how a player who has been lauded and feted can really succeed in today's NBA. Cause eventually he has to confront the physicality of those players who had to earn each minute on the court, level by level. They make every single minute count like 10.

Michael Jordan, while he was lauded pretty early on... correct me if I am wrong... had the unique situation of being the only sober person in the room. So of course all the veterans on the court relied on him for guidance.

watch Pacers vs. NO on Friday. Zion really has something to prove, should be interesting.

I'm sure other members have equally interesting matchups they can point you to.

if you are complaining about tonight's games, you weren't watching the right ones.

I think the Spurs will be a decent home team and woeful on the road.

Wemby's shot selection is poor.

He desperately needs a quality PG. And more talent in general. And a new coach.

I don't even know what they're trying to do.

Vassell and Jones back will help. Whenever that is.

Bar is impossibly high for him in the hobby. That’s always been my point. He could be as good as KD and that would be a failure.

How can anyone expect him to play well with a broken wrist from signing 5000 jersey cards?

Most of the new collectors haven't been burned enough yet. That'll change.

Problem is that these prices have him as an All-NBA guy this year and a ring within five years. Tough hill to climb.

The KD example is a good one.

He cant dribble when past the three point line. His shot selection is terrible. He doesn't bang in the post. He still looks too thin. He is really slow moving around the court.

Solutions: Give him some off-days the next couple of weeks and have him play more in the paint. If his body can't handle NBA banging then too bad! Because for sure he is not a perimeter player.

Many new hobbyists have been burned by Zion.

Most don’t learn their lesson until the third time.

It wasn’t Zions fault he got fat and lazy. Cheeseburgers are so good! Imagine someone gives you all that guaranteed Nike money and NBA salary?

You mean players don’t learn their lesson until the third time? Or prospectors/flippers don’t learn their lesson until the third time? Cuz hobbyists/collectors went extinct in the Jurassic period.

And do they ever really learn their lesson? I’m not sure I’ve learned anything and I’ve been burned plenty.

Water finds its level. How much time is Bronny getting on the court?
