Yes but the last couple of seasons would say he's not an upgrade. Team is 4-2 and supposedly they love Fields. But I guess Tomlin doesn't love him. I don't think Fields is going to win any Super Bowls but I don't think Russ is either at this point.

Fields barely throwing for 150 yards in 4 of his 6 games might have something to do with it.

Wilson will have a short leash, though. If he just holds the ball and takes sacks it will be back to Fields. If he puts up 300 and some TDs? He'll hang on to the job.

Yes.

Fields had significant accuracy issues last game. He’s played well enough, but the coaching staff brought Russ in to be the starter. Justin hasn’t wowed consistently to show he should be the starter. Now Russ is healthy and he’s going to get his chance.
