Default Nat's Personal Collection

I don't care what you think about SCI, but this is worthy of showcasing here if you haven't seen it yet. Have some and enjoy some insane stuff in here....

It is slightly disconcerting that a man with a massive collection of high graded cards owns the company with the ability to issue (or not issue) any more high grades of those same cards.

I would imagine when you can literally buy any single card or collectible you want at any given time (and not have it affect you at all, similar to me buying a cheeseburger) it is hard to find joy/motivation in these types of things.

Nat has been around for a long time and been around these boards for a long time, way way before he owned PSA and he has always seemed to be an incredibly genuine and authentic person and collector. I think we are very fortunate to have him at the PSA helm and this collection is really just beyond absurd. Even when you have all the money in the world, it still takes time and dedication to put something together like this. I'm glad he shared it with us.

And or what it's worth, if I ever secure a Robert Pack PMG, I'm sending it to Nat.

With a minimum asking price of $1,000,000

Awesome collection

Makes me wonder what we'll see going forward as this generation of players gets older what cards will end up being super collectible for jokic, luka, antman, etc 20+ years down the line and what we'll see in some super mega high end collection like this

I completely agree.

Often we don't get to even see these kinds of collections.

Nat has been around for a long time and is an active member of the Hobby and given back far more than many others.

I watched this clip yesterday and it's just epic hearing the stories of each card.

I'm usually a cynic when it comes to things like this but I tend to agree with you here. He's been putting in work as a collector waaaay before he was involved with PSA

I guess the one positive of cards is that some of the most desirable are so unbelievably rare that even with unlimited money they can still be almost impossible to acquire. Doesn't matter if you're offering a billion dollars for an MJ gem masters, if it's sitting in an unopened pack or in the collection of some totally unknown Chinese billionaire who doesn't even have social media you're never going to get it. I'd imagine that keeps the chase exciting even if you have enough money to buy whatever you want.

Pretty sure he's said in another interview before that's he held the MJ Gem Master in his hand, and tried to buy it. But was declined.

Eh, its only a few people in this thread. Nat's a legit collector if people haven't noticed. He was on these boards long before he hit that 1%. His monthly budget just got a little bigger. Ha. Even then he'd still come here and ask regular questions about collecting. Great collection and its always cool he shares it on social media.

yea his love of the hobby really shows while he shares his knowledge to the guy hes sitting with who clearly doesn't have the same knowledge or passion is awesome to see.

I enjoyed the video. It makes me want to buy just one PMG. He has an advantage being CEO. When a card comes in he wants he can easily get that persons contact information.

He was known for PMGs long before he became head of Collectors and they are not super high grades. If they were 9s and 10s then you'd be right.

Some of the super rare Smits cards from the 90's I tried to get, went for insane prices. Wouldn't doubt if Nat was the one outbidding me until I gave up.

Yeah, I don't think you can call into question Nat's passion for collecting cards -- he's practically giddy discussing his Jordan collection.

Is Nat the reason why people started to FOMO into PMGs?

I think it was inevitable. The 97-98 S1 metal universe base set was so beautiful, to have an innovative ultra rare numbered parallel on top that was not simply a change in lettering-foil was a slam dunk.

I didn't even know about this set in the late 90s, knowledge was limited to what LCS ordered and stocked, but in retrospect it was a milestone. Panini does a lot of cool technology cards but they have never replicated the textured thinness and vibrant metallic colors of that issue.

What's the story on why a Robert Pack green has never surfaced?

Has the Robert Pack green been confirmed to exist?
