Default October Pickups

Massive one for me, Michael Craze from Doctor Who, Cornerstone Cards Series 3 in 1996. Michael only signed a few for this series and no other Who cards before passing away in 1998 - a true grail.

Cool Monsters sketch!

Speaking of oddball sketches … how about this Sharknado I picked up the other day?

And not a card but I picked up this cool comic!

Wow that’s a great one. Sharknado…lol never knew that had sketches. Something pretty cool about a crazy monster sketch!

At first I didn’t know how much I wanted to get into the set, as I’m usually a Marvel collector. But I’m also a Masterpieces collector…so was deciding if I want to go for the stuff in it. The more I see though the more I’m into it. Sketches are cool. Preliminary art are especially cool. As are the movie poster variants. I think the set will do ok on ePack…well as good as it can for an unbranded set.

One nice thing is prices are cheap…it’s more of a collectors set than a flippers set. I’m used to in marvel where it’s mainly flipper priced.

I don’t think I’ll ever see a Pirates of the Caribbean set, so this sketch might be the closest I can get!

Not too many graded comics on COMC to apply my credit from sales but I did add this one. Love the Kirby cover and Paste-Pot Pete using Medusa’s hair as a rope. This is also Medusa’s first appearance.

I just finished my second and probably last goonies sketch redeem... I'd love to go for a third redeem but it's getting too tough at this point... anyways I ended up with a sketch of mouth

A Daniel Horne silver spectrum auto from MM (not that MM…Monster Masterpieces). Numbered /25 for some reason not /10

Joe Jusko signature series on the variant Spidey vs Venom comic cover.

Greg Hildebrandt signature series on 94MM. Sadly cannot have signature series of both the Hildebrandts who worked on this card, as Tim is no longer with us.

Nothing unique, but picked up a binder that had:
1992 Marvel Masterpiece set and two of the Battle dyna-sketch cards
1994 Fleer Ultra X-Men set and numerous inserts
1994 Flair Set and several inserts
1995 DC vs Marvel set and more inserts

Also 75 packs of 1989 Pro Set Football series 2.

5 1977 Star Wars Card #1 mid grades

The set of 4 1991 TMNT holograms.

I found an uncatalogued set of promo cards from the 1996 TV movie The Right to Remain Silent in a dealer's oddball box yesterday. Amanda Plummer and Patrick Dempsey don't have earlier cards according to IMDB.

Looking for autos/relics of cartoon voice actors - one role as confirmed on IMDb is enough to qualify.

That’s a really cool looking panel for a comic cut card. Nice one!

After a year, I made a crazy purchase I needed to finally complete my OUAT collection. Technically. I would like to add more variants and sketches when possible but after this I’m good lol

Those are some great pickups… thanks for sharing!

I recently sent a couple 1966 Marvel to be slabbed and I see you have picked up some cool ones as well!

Picked up this funny Matt Murdock: Driver Without Fear sketch by former Daredevil artist Cary Nord (I remember a good DD run he had with Mark Waid as writer)…

Dr Doom, Artist is Steven Miller

I’m working on a little Doom sketch project, specifically from masterpieces, so jumped on this one when it was listed. Having a hard time finding that many Doom sketches from MM since he was banned all those years, I’d like to say through MM16-MM20, maybe even MM22 outside what DDS did. Well on non-AP stock at least.
