Okay, looks cool and I'll probably buy a box but using Affleck for Batman and Ledger for The Joker on that dual auto, oof.

Weird. Who the heck is the target? I don't think I've ever heard someone say they like all Warner Brothers stuff.

I liked the Marvel and Star Wars series and opened several cases of each but this is just too much. Really would be only interested in the DC and LOTR cards, maybe a Buddy the Elf or Neo card would be cool but likely a pass.

I guess it’s like a Goodwin type everything and the kitchen sink type product for the wide range of WB properties. I think the cards look good but think I will just wait for the UD DC sets to scratch my DC superhero itch.

Which is odd, because they had four promo cards for this set they handed out at this year's Nationals, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Harry Potter.

It's probably intended for people who miss the Warner Brothers Studio Store that used to be at their mall.

We actually had one at our local mall, and about 30 minutes away was a huge outlet store where they'd liquidate the unsold stuff, I don't know, but maybe for the entire chain. It was a massive retail space. I did buy stuff from a lot of different categories, haha.

They are doing a separate Harry Potter set at the end of 2024. From what they've said, I guess the licensing is a little different for HP and since this WB100 set is a dual China/US release, they are hoping to be able to use the success of this to gain US release rights for HP as well. But regardless, I do agree it is odd.

Anybody grabbing these? Wish there was individual Friends characters in the base set

There's some sets Upper Deck should do in there:

Gremlins
Thundercats
A Christmas Story - For a Christmas release
Elf - For a Christmas release
Animaniacs

Assuming those licenses are included in their Warner Bros. contract. Would be nice to get some official auto cards for those movies. The A Christmas Story kids have signed a lot of unofficial Leaf cards.

Cards look good, they need their design team to go to one of the big companies.

They just ripped off Panini cards:

Silver refractors: Prizm Silver refractors

Final frames: Prizm widescreen

Fireworks: Prizm Fireworks

The Chinese Pattern looks pretty unique, though.

Maybe some but a lot don't remind me of Panini, I'm no historian so they could be past designs

The quality of the cards are great too. Much better than flimsy recent Topps chrome cards

The base set could easily be confused for a Panini set. Leaf as well, they all sort of look the same.

These cards look nice, the backs are absolutely boring as can be - zero effort was put into them.

https://gogts.net/2024-kakawow-cosmo...trading-cards/

There is a new version of this set coming, with a 1/1 One ring (which no doubt will go to some rich guy) The presence of the One ring in the set likely will mean LOTR spots in breaks go for high.

and this one will have sketches and sketch booklets too.
