I thought it would be about $180, haha as I haven’t bought finest in a while.

I was at a Target today and there were something like 50 Chrome blasters languishing on the shelf (along with a couple Bowman megas). First time I've seen baseball at this location, at all. Tough buy at that price, to say the least. Or, to put it from my perspective, easy pass.

Retail hanging out on shelves isn't anything new post covid. Most people are buying Hobby for the guaranteed hits. The pandemic flippers are mostly gone from the hobby now or moved on to breaking hobby boxes.

Chrome is actually $45.00 a blaster at Wal-Mart in store. They have gotten in the habit of adding 5.00 extra on top of everything. I think almost as a deterrent to the middle age, overweight white guy from lurking around buying them all up.

Plus they (retailers) started asking themselves why they should be letting others make $ off purchases people make in their stores. Blame wax flippers for the jacked up prices.

Its been at least 2-3 years since wal-mart started doing that. Reminds me of Toys-R-Us. Back when they were still around, they always had retail marked up higher than Walmart or Target.

I saw them at my local walmart yesterday for $44 and change. Easy pass for me, but people were scooping them up.

They were a loss at $20 back in the day, but you didn't feel so bad as it was only $20. I draw the line at $44. That's just ridiculous. I probably would have bought at $35 because I'm a sucker.

Bought my first blaster in over 2 years a week ago (2024 Chrome). My Target doesn’t put price stickers in front of any of their cards.

I was expecting to see maybe $25 (what they were last time I bought one) or $30 at checkout. It rung up $39.99. I let out an involuntary audible chuckle like you gotta be f’n kidding me.

Disgusting.

Discounted 2018 update was the best. I was loading up on it. Found so many blasters and fat packs in the discount box at Walmart.

Panini bumped most basketball and football blasters to $40 a couple years ago now at this point. If you’re baseball only, and rip blasters, be happy you had 2 extra years at less than that I guess.
