Default What does your team need to do in the 2024 offseason?

Wolves: KAT needs to go (again). Not only is he wilting in the spotlight, his cap hit combined with Ant’s pay bump for All-NBA will hamstring flexibility. I’d just as soon run with Naz as a starter, get some shooting off the bench and possibly another wing to not play super big.

Spurs, get a true PG and another big man to replace Zach Collins. Then shoot the moon.

Depends on if they keep Mitchell or not

Because the answer will do a 180 depending on how you answer that

Fire JB - they did

re-tool the offense entirely - new coach will do this hopefully

trade Jarrett Allen - the 2 non-shooting big thing doesn't work.

need wing depth - Strus isn't really a 3, Okoro sucks, there's nobody else on the roster who can effectively shoot & defend. maybe Allen trade can address this

I agree but where will/can they send him? Teams that don't attract FAs like the Wolves are stuck with having to sign their guys or overpay.

The Knicks have assets, but do they want KAT? If he can't handle the pressure in Minny, how's he going to hold up in NY?

Which other team(s) needs his skills and has the cap space + trade pieces to get a deal done?

Philly has cap space but not sure pairing him with Embiid is the answer. Maybe since the Hawks have the #1 pick, they can put something together for him. They need to shake things up anyway.

For my Bulls: need new ownership

I’d be fine with Trae. The team needs a cold blooded scorer from outside. There’s enough D on the team to make up for him.

Don't be fooled. The Hawks said the same thing

If the Mavs can overcome Luka and Kyrie, the Wolves can overcome Trae.

Kyrie's actually become a pretty good defender this year.

both of those guys are in a different universe defensively.

Luka is a fine defender when he puts in the effort and Kyrie isn't great but passable.

Trae couldn't guard a traffic cone on his best day

Would you trade Garland?

Def. looking for a good SF.

Hawks need to convince Zion to wear a fat pad a la Harden and demand a trade so they can get him for Murray and the #1 pick. Pels can then draft Bronny at 21st, right before Phx picks, so they can get Bron.

D Murray - Ingram - Herb - Bron - Sarr .... not bad for moving on from the Z experiment, right?

If Hawks can get Murphy as well and send off Hunter [the contracts work this way on FanSpo] I'd be ok with them even including another future 1st ['28].

Pels still have a solid bench then with McCollum, Alvarado, Daniels, D Hunter.

Trae - Tre - Zion - JJ - Okongwu/Capela

feels like more of a fresh start for an offense that's gotten stale.

They are already super weak at PG too and Donovan can't do it full time.

I'm not a big fan of Garland based on his generally poor play next to Donovan and that contract but I don't know how much better you could realistically do.

The Blazers need Scoot to shoot better and make fewer mistakes, Shaedon to stay healthy and be more efficient, and a couple of forwards who can shoot (hoping Camara turns into one because his defense is amazing).

I was on the trade KAT bandwagon long before others, just because he's never been a killer and on top of that, he's a huge whiner. Now I am not sure if trading him is the right play. Obviously he's been mostly horrendous in the Dallas series, but so has ANT. They made it to the WCF, so the team is obviously in good shape. Problem is Towns value peaked years ago, he's been too spotty since. This series alone has wiped out most of the value he gained in the Denver series.
