Boss Authentication Services - any info ??

Does anyone know about this company "Boss Authentication Services" and whether it is legit? Do they have a website?

I noticed a seller on eBay who lists a bunch of signed cards authenticated by this company. But none of the listings even mention Boss in title, only as BAS Certified. But BAS is generally associated with Beckett Authentication Services.

I think you answered your own question. The authenticator has no easily found website, and the seller is misdirecting people into thinking it's Beckett.

The QR code on the back of their stickers does go to a website:

Looks like it was one of the many Covid graders that popped up 4 years ago according to their About page. Their Grading Scale page is pretty much an exact copy of GMA's, also looks very similar to SGC's, and nowhere on their site do they mention authenticating autos at all.

Either this seller is using the name for a service they never offered, or the seller is that company.

There are a ton of Tiger, Jordan, Brady, Ali etc autos for a fraction of a valid price too.

Good catch with QR code.

There is a bosssportscards on eBay/Instagram which lists/shows some of their graded cards. Most of his current eBay listings are raw very low-end baseball rookie cards that are not even worth grading.

And nothing about autograph authentication (like you had noted) on his pages. The only link appears to be that QR code on those stickers and use of the Boss name.

He had multiple theft and forgery charges in Arizona. As part of a plea deal, he pleaded guilty to theft and possession of a forgery device. Initially, he denied everything but eventually admitted to it, downplaying the situation by claiming all he did was bounce a couple of checks.

I don’t think the forgery charges were related to sports memorabilia, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they led to that now. Most of the autographs I’ve seen from him don’t look good IMO.
