I just ordered (after the discount) MLBtv to watch more of my team and also random day games while I work (mainly listen). Only close teams to me are minor league teams in NC. Now comparing watching games (overall) to your collection (of active players) how often would you say you watch baseball games of players your collect? Is it only your favorite MLB team, favorite player, only watch if it is live/playoffs/don’t care I love baseball or anything else?

Wanted to do multi selection but accidentally did not. Chose the best option that fits you.

Baseball junkie here. During the season, baseball is on my television 90% of the time it's turned on. Favorite teams get priority but baseball is baseball and I love it.

The baseball package from my cable provider is like $25/month and worth every penny.

I only collect Reds and watch every single Reds game possible. I have a FuboTv subscription solely for Bally Sports Ohio.

That said, I have an MLBtv subscription where my wife can watch the Rockies, and I can watch other games when the Reds aren't on. It also allows me to watch Reds minor league affiliates, which I often do on my phone or tablet while watching MLB on the TV.

Overall, I watch over 200 games a season.

Maybe its becasue the Angels suck but I havent watched a baseball game in a couple years. Will follow stats and standings online. Dont really feel like I am missing anything. I might tune into the last couple innings of the last game of the WS, but otherwise Ive got other things to do.

Even with the pitch clock I find myself unable to watch a game from beginning to end anymore. I just have MLB Network on in the background to keep track of how my fantasy team guys are doing and for the main highlights around the league.

You left the biggest one off the list beside watch my favorite team. It's watch the games I bet on.

Used to watch the Red Sox religiously but as the years have gone by and life happens, much less so now. Only playoffs (not lately). Still check the box scores for guys I collect. Soto, Ohtani, Acuna etc.

Maybe I'm just some kind of weirdo, but I actually enjoy following the stats more than watching the games.

I think I'm too advanced as a fan that a lot of the appeal of the games just isn't there for me anymore.

I will watch part of regular season games sporadically, but the need to watch any one particular game isn't there until the postseason starts.

Yes, this is where MLB and other professional sports are headed -- fans regularly placing bets on games as part of the experience of watching games. I don't know how beneficial it will be to ratings, but maybe it'll help the leagues stay more relevant in an increasingly fragmented media landscape.

Mine isn’t up there. Huge Mets fan so I watch them on the mlb network. But I live in the north bay so I watch a lot of giants and a’s games because baseball is my favorite. Though I’m not locked in for those. More just background noise.

Work from home and live on the west coast so always have midweek morning/afternoon games on regardless of teams.

During hockey playoffs, it's usually that at night although the Bruins just got eliminated and we're almost down to 4 team so that'll taper off.

While I'll watch any game, preference is for Red Sox and Giants games 1st. Dodgers games are a good watch with that star power. Always flip on the A's game when Mason Miller is pumping 102+.

I used to love a great pitching matchup and would always be dialed in when a couple Cy Young potentials were on the mound battling. But with dudes barely making it 6+ innings, and so many hurt, I've wandered away from that strategy.

I watch my favorite team and post season if I'm in front of a screen when the game is on. And I watch highlights. I used to plan my life around watching all 162 and the post season for about 20 years of my life but I can't do that anymore.

I watch whatever games are on the weekend, it’s the only free time I have for now. Am planning on going to a few Mets games during the summer though. Thinking during the weekdays there shouldn’t be too many people there.

I'll watch anything, but mostly my team (Reds) or my player (Ohtani) or teams with exciting players or teams with great announcers.

I collect and am a fan of the Yankees. I too purchased MLB TV for the 1st time this year and have been watching every Yankees game I can. Before they start though, I'll throw on other games and watch them too.

I rarely watch a full baseball game on TV any more. If the Giants are on, I'll try to watch the last few innings if the game is close, but that's about it.

But to be honest, for me that's not specific to baseball....when I watch a basketball game, it's usually just the 4th quarter, and hockey it's usually just the last 5-10 minutes of the 3rd period if the games are close.

Only sports where I still watch full games are the 49ers, and soccer (Newcastle, USMNT).

Watch the Cubs (less than in years past because they stink) and flip around on MLB.TV to catch ABs of the young stars in the game or will watch young guns pitch. MLB.TV is amazing and has helped me keep up with my fantasy roster for years and see exciting matchups.

I mostly only watch Mariners games and Dodgers games.

I am a Mariners fan but I also am a big fan of Mookie Betts and Shohei Ohtani.

Now that it is legal in NC, I do place some bets on MLB (and other sports). I do decent but have had cold streaks. I also don't bet a lot on games (under $1 most of the time). Definitely gets me more interested in games though outside of fantasy.

Are there any tips/tricks on MLBtv that you have found that has made it more enjoyable to watch games?

I know on the computer you can view multiple games at once. But is there a way to track how (fantasy players mainly) are doing or notifications that they are up to bat?

I have been mainly watching it on my phone with one earpiece in listening unless I am alone then will stream to the tv. I know I can download the app on AppleTv but half the devices are in my wife's name and the other half are in mine and just seems like a pain to figure that out right now.

It doesn't matter whose name the device is in. Just download the app and log in using your MLBtv credentials. There is no reason not to use the MLB app on your TV if you are watching the games on your TV.

I have had MLB tv since the beginning for the Braves. I watch every Braves game and also follow the Fort Wayne Tincaps and Padres pretty close. The Tincaps are the Padres high A team and the only local team around me.

Didn’t know what to choose from the poll since I watch: All Braves, a lot of Padres, follow the Cubs, White Sox, Brewers and Reds since they are the closest to me and a lot of Tincaps in person and on my phone.

In person I have tickets this season to Dodgers @ Reds this Saturday, cubs at Reds in June, Braves @ Sox in June, Brewers double header in August in Cincy and three games in Cincinnati with the Braves in September.

This is a curious statement, advancing in fandom leads to a decline in appeal of the games???
