I do like that they brought the micro mosaic over from football though.

As a graphic designer the past 30 years, I have to say micro mosaic design is awful. It’s a filter that is bottom of the barrel when it comes to designing.
If you didn’t see his name there is no way anyone would recognize who that is.

There is a way to use that filter and layer it to where its still applied, yet you can still see who the photo is. Using the filter because it’s “Mosiac” is lame.

This is another product, excluding a few insert sets, that could have been cancelled and not have been missed, especially with an Aug. 2 release date for a 23-24 season. The micro and stained glass will be nice.

Agree! Courtside was again done right after the horizontal screwup last year. It is one of the nicest designs since 2018.

Also we need to understand that cards are not a competition. They are about celebrating the farther reaches of what is possible in a player or set collection. To see them as a race, instead of as a process (as with '20-21 picks) is a fallacy.

I mean, this applies outside the world of cards. It's very predictable. After four years letting nature mount a comeback we are accelerating the burning of fossil fuels, calling it a race.

FWIW I like the Anthony mosaic design. I was like whuh at first but it's going on me. It's recognizable and yet abstract. Digital and yet with a human digital artist's touch. I would like to see a player I collect in such a set.

obviously nobody cares because it's been 6 weeks since the last post, but Target has blasters for $35, which is way past ridiculous for blasters

Been keeping an eye out for micro mosaic Wemby on ebay, only seen two so far and the cheaper of the two (raw) was $10,000 on BIN, most expensive case hit I've seen of his by far

I was hoping to get one but unless people start to open way more and the price comes down just doesn't seem possible right now

Mosaic Blasters this year seem awful. Watched 50+ ripped on YouTube and no Stained Glass, Micro Mosaic, or Orange fluorescent.

Red Seismic look nice, but seem to fall 3-4 per case. Autos show up 4-6 per case it looks like, but haven't seen a decent auto pulled yet.

Potentially the worst chrome retail product of the year.

Just grabbed 1 blaster at Walmart. They had plenty. I hit a green mosaic city edition Wemby. Will post tonight and move on. There are 3 different green versions that look identical. Make sure you have a back scan. The retail green is unnumbered.

Not saying these products rule but more a judgement of retail which has really improved over the last year or so, I think people are just broke. If people can't afford regular prices, they can't afford flipper prices so boxes sit on the shelf/site.

Design aside (up to opinion), Mosaic retail has to have some of the best chances for big "retail hits" even if super rare, haven't seen it mentioned but Genesis are still in Mosaic/retail right? The Stained Glass, Micro Mosaic , Orange Fluorescent /25, can even argue even though the normal silver is king, you essentially have a chance at two silvers with the mosaic silver since it isn't a format exclusive like optic velocity hangers or mojo for megas or something the silver mosiac are across all formats.

Maybe he was referring to Walmart hockey repack boxes. People seem to see and not see those all the time.
