He plays for the local Hi-A team in my area, the Fort Wayne Tincaps. I went to watch him play this past Saturday. He went 0-3 with 3Ks, but made a few good defensive plays.

Met him on Sunday and got a bat signed by the team. Great come from behind win for the Tincaps and a nice group of guys.

He's kind of sucked so far this year but he's 17 in High-A ball. He can take five years to figure things out and still be a young rookie.

I picked up yellow and blue parallels of his 1st Bowman at a card show a few weeks back. Don't love the position, but given how young he is, I figured why not. Hoping to see the batting average go up throughout the remainder of the year.

That’s exactly right - if we’re talking about Players here while they’re only 17, that’s a good sign that the Scouts see someone potentially special …..

Part of the problem is the hype machine was so amped up (that includes the big prospect publications) that it was inevitable that a 17 year old catcher was going to hit serious bumps and not necessarily rocket to the big leagues before even reaching adulthood.
