Default Question: Trading a service for favorite players autograph(s)

Before you sick minded people start grilling me ( ) Here is a quick back story:

As many of you may or may not know, I am a huge Triston Casas fan. He is doing a hitting camp up here in the North East this summer. I am the sales manager for a golf cart company and have been contacted by his camp asking if they could rent a golf cart for a few days. They stated they often will offer company logo at the event or autographs from the athlete to cut the cost down.

My question to everyone; How much is too much to ask for? They did say they would provide 8X10 photo's and 5x7 cards for signatures and that I would have to provide any other item. I was thinking of a Jersey, Bat and Ball for myself and a personalized photo for the company (We are not a huge company). I am not the greedy type but I am curious what others might ask for if in the same situation.

Depends how much they’re asking you to discount. 50%? 80%?

I'd just ask to get paid well for my services

You are giving no backstory of outside of wanting to service this dude

How much would you usually charge?

Kind of important

Treat this purely as business transaction. However much of a discount they are looking for needs to be covered in the value you would receive if you sold those items on the spot.

If I could afford to do it, I'd do it without hesitation. But I'm not a good businessman.

Is it imperative the cylinder stay unharmed?

Having your company’s logo displayed at a hitting clinic isn’t going to move the needle whatsoever beyond vanity’s sake. I would offer my base price, still try to get a personalized experience with some auto’s, and in return for it offer some minimal trade like idk what y’all offer; waive of a fee or ease of early or late pickup or whatever.

Generally, the guy hitting you up is trying to make a name and worth for themselves, and are originally asked to make the inquiries to things necessary for the talent. Things like your service, and told to do a great job. “Make it as cheap as possible and we can offer them some autos or whatever”. Same for the catering and the car service and whatever else, etc etc.

Knowing this; Get your money and a personalized experience plus autos.
