Default Question about Reggie Miller relic

I recently purchased a 2002-03 Fleer Hot Shots Give and Go Game-Used Jamaal Tinsley/Reggie Miller /50 because it has a teal relic and I thought it could be from his 1996 ASG jersey.

The card was purchased from a Chinese eBay seller with 14 feedback, which sounds sketch but he's been selling high end Reggies and other cards for a couple of weeks, and the cards I ordered were delivered without issue. I approached the seller to see if he knew anything more about the card and he said he would ask the person who he sold it for. Waiting on his response.

After looking around, I haven't been able to find any other examples of the card pictured online. There are only a couple of pictures uploaded but some of the others from the checklist contain premium relics: as seen here.

It doesn't seem to be consistent though. Example 1 | Example 2

I am approaching running out of ideas on how I could learn any more about the card. I was hoping someone on here might have some insight into what jersey pieces were included by Fleer in these sets, if anyone knows of any other Reggie cards that contain teal relics, or if the sale of Reggie's ASG jersey from 1996 was ever recorded anywhere. Appreciate any input.

Yours is the same copy that was sold on COMC for $40 in 2020, it looks like.

It's more than likely that its just the wrong relic piece inserted into the Miller side of the card.

If they did have his All Star Game Jersey we would have seen pieces of this used in other cards, but where this seems to be a one off its likely that its just the wrong piece in the card.

Maybe this mixup? Could be a Baron Davis Hornets jersey that was also used that year?

I think I agree that it's more likely to be a mistakenly inserted patch than anything else. The red stitching on the Reggie relic makes me think that it isn't from the Hornets though.

I will see If I can find mine. I was interested in buying this card also, but didn't get it. I believe I have one, but it is badly damaged so I was trying to find an upgrade. These cards don't pop up very often. The seller does have a bunch of nice Reggie cards along with some other nice cards of different players. I missed out on a couple more cards last night.

Is the relic also teal like the one pictured?
