Default WWE Commercial breaks

Serious question.

I’ve never been to raw or smack down. What goes on when wrestler A enters the ring and they cut to commercial break? Does the wrestler just stand there while his music plays in the background? If commercials are two minutes at the minimum, do they stand there and pose for the crowd for that entire time?

Their music is still playing when the break ends, THEN wrestler B’s music hits.

What goes on that whole time?

Video packages are typically played on the TitanTron as the wrestler jogs about and paces around the ring.

Okay. Thanks. Sounds incredibly lame.

It's really no different than being at any other televised sporting event. There are always commercial breaks and they go by pretty fast, so you don't really notice them.

I think the weirdness for me is having one person come out and then going to break. I'm not sure why having one person in the ring by themselves through the break is needed. It gets even weirder when they do backstage segments after the break before going back to the ring.

This stuff is what I’m talking about. The other day I saw Carlito hit the ring only to go commercial. When they came back, he was just prancing around the ring.

I’m glad I asked because for a couple years now I convinced myself that they cut quick promos while on break to keep fans engaged.

I’ve only been to WM24 so I didn’t get breaks. Makes me glad I’m waiting for another PLE to attend. My wife is a watcher too, likes it in the background, but not a fan. Just likes making fun of the characters. She’s be bored out of her mind with all the breaks.

I’ll take my son to raw or sd. He’s under five and wouldn’t know the difference.

LA Knight cut a promo during commercial at last event I went to.
They also change mats after most matches.

They may cut promos, hype up an upcoming event at the same arena, I'm pretty sure Pat has done stuff during commercial breaks, it's really not that lame lol besides do you not intend to go to the washroom or concessions at all? Commercials are when people are thinking to run to the merch stand not watch wrestler A in the ring lol they used to dim the lights and run packages sometimes as they knew the focus wasn't really on the ring during commercials. I haven't been to a three-hour Raw but you really don't notice the breaks too much or what's going on especially if you are moving around, and if you take your son I'm sure there will be some walking around the arena lol

most of the time the segments go quickly ... really feels like less downtime than say a basketball game with timeouts and commercials. But ... when they have on-screen promos and also a lot of time to fill it can get noticeable.
