The 2023 Home Run Challenge cards were much more flashy and improved compared to the previous years. What Seanbros55 is referring to is the 2023 Derby Duel winners. These did not live up to the hype and are arguably the dullest winner card in existence.

I always just collected these cards but last year was the first year I played 2 cards and I hit both of the ones I played; a Yordy and Correa. So I’m thinking I’m going to play all of the ones I get this year. So far I have:

FYI- It appears we are unable to select dates for the Korean series opener this week...Probably for the best with the timing issues inputting codes in the past

It was a pretty decent opening day for 2024. 6 players with HRs and 1 Double Down.

I've been doing this for 7 years and I still didn't have the conscious to check the postponed games and ended up wasting 6 codes

Got 1 Mookie HRC card, haven't opened a ton of Series 1, and apparently haven't participated since 2020. I entered my code for the 4/12 game and got it right! Woo! Rookie has been on a roll since the season started and even though he'd only faced that batter 3 times, had a HR and another hit I think.

This "should" be April's HR count. I haven't double checked the numbers. Lots of 1 HR winners for April. We haven't seen any 1 HR winners the last several years in April, for regular winners at least.

Today we start over for May.



Word is Topps has caught up a bunch on their backorders. Hopefully this helps with shipping out these winners. There was a time we got these winners in about 30 day turnaround...but im still waiting on a pending 2023 August order, so we'll see.

How do you find your entries? I entered a code about 3 weeks ago and forgot who it was and what date i picked. Ive logged onto the Topps site but the Home Run Challenge link just takes to the "Enter Your Code" page.

I managed to get a Soto this month, took two tries but happy bout that.

The rest of the cards are of guys barely hitting any (Bichette, Olson)- so not even sure when to try those lol

Topps' website likes to hide it from me too. Care to try this direct url? https://www.topps.com/hrchallenge/index/entries/ It should give you your entry list, not just the main splash page to enter codes.

I've decided to enter a Bobby Witt Jr. code for every home game this year, so we'll see how this goes.

If you go to "My Account" then "Orders" it has a link to HRC on the left too.

It’s about that time again. I have Adley, Lindor, and I forget #3. I like to pick holidays. Mother’s Day, Father’s Day.

Considering picking Mother’s Day.

What are your strategies?

When I played the first year they did HRC, I usually would check matchups against the pitcher, try to take players that were on a good hit streak. Players on their birthday are a good bet too. I'd take Trout on Fathers Day if they're playing. I think the first day back from paternity leave with his last kid he hit a homer.
