Default Unacceptable Topps Replacements for missing hits

In November I bought 4 boxes of Ginter X from Topps. 2 boxes were missing the autos. This is what arrived in my mailbox today.

Anyone have any experience with getting this rectified? This is 100% unacceptable.

What in the world is that? I would trade the most common, cheapest auto in Ginter X for that much less two.

Topps is terrible for this. They always assume you were going to get the worst hit possible

I agree. Topps replacements are the worst - even worse than Panini.

I know what you mean, I’ve been hitless in three different guaranteed topps products this year, so I just simply stopped buying those products.

It’s no longer worth the effort because they don’t care about you, they’ve already got their money.

I think it’s fair to be unhappy with what you were sent. But my advice would be to use a nicer tone when you get on the line with someone. Calmly explain the situation and make it clear that you don’t feel like this is a fair swap. If they refuse, then politely ask to speak with the person who’s paid to hear you yell

Always treat the person on the other end of the line with dignity and respect. It’s not their fault this happened and even if they agree with you (chances are they may) it’s ultimately not up to them. Back in college I was a phone customer service rep for 4 years, I know how that goes. I don’t even know if it’s worth my time to call them. I don’t have high hopes for it getting rectified.

I’ve decided to chalk it up at a loss in the past and considered it my punishment for purchasing a topps product.

It makes me think twice before buying again.

Default Unacceptable Topps Replacements for missing hits

I recently opened a 2022 Update Jumbo which was missing the mojo packs and box topper. My phone complaint yielded a 10% off coupon which I used on a 2023 Sapphire update box.

Sapphire box yielded a Trout auto redemption, orange /25. I guess I come out ahead if the redemption ever arrives.

How so? I wanted my missing guaranteed 2023 Ginter X autos to be 2023 Ginter X autos.

Not a random five year old auto from a different product and a random napkin relic from a different random product, especially when Ginter X doesn’t have relics and guarantees autos.

That’s bad. I hope that’s not what I get back.

My friend had a bent red mini Corbin Burnes last year from Ginter X and they sent him a Josh Lowe auto as replacement(his other box had a Arenado Red Mini and it just graded SGC 10). This year he was missing an auto and they sent him a Ginter X Nestor Cortes auto. He got his cards in less than a month.

I had my first missing hit from that product this year and they have not redeemed it yet(going on 3 months now). The only other missing hit I ever had was in Topps Fire last year and they sent me a base Pete Alonso auto.

I mean I kind of get it from topps POV. If they give out reasonable replacements, the amount of fraudulent Im missing my hits claims go up.

They just need to change wording to state in 99% of
Boxes rather then in every box. That or require claims to be ripped on camera to qualify and even then would be very easy to free roll them
