Default MLB Late Bloomers

Who are some of the best players that didn’t blossom until later in their career? I’ll start with a couple:

Josh Donaldson
Max Scherzer

At the age of 21 Beltre hit .290 with 20 HRs and 85 RBI.

Juan Soto did great for someone who debuted at 33 years old.

Which pales in comparison to what he did when he turned 25 and in his 30s.

The greatest might be Jose Bautista. He went from being a utility player in his 20s with below average hitting numbers, to suddenly hitting 54 HR with a 164 OPS+ at age 29.

Adolis Garcia didn't break out until he was 28 years old, and his 2023 season at 30 years old was where he went to a "star" level.

Aaron Judge

Still remember trying to sell his 2013 Bowman chrome RED AUTO RC /5 for $1500 for months and no one wanted it. Last one sold for $180k via goldin when he set new AL record.

And as always, BBRef puts my memory to shame. Didn't recall Sosa being so successful at such an early age. 30-30 in his age 24 season.
