Grading is BS. Learn about it.

Way too common with PSA in my opinion. Not worth it

"KuNDiTiOn SeNsiTiVe SeT" - PSA maximalist, probably.

Graded on a Friday at about 330pm when the lights went out.

It's been bouncing around inside that holder for 25 years.

Depending on the owner, PSA likely won't honor their guarantee, so everyone is playing extreme hot potato and trying to sell the label.

I know exactly what you are talking about. Cards in PSA slabs rattle around and can get damaged easily imo. Chrome cards are even at more risk with no sleeve protection and the rubbing against hard plastic. Best way to store cards are penny sleeve+toploader++teambag. I only grade cards if I plan on selling them in the near future. All pc cards are ungraded for me. Only suckers pay premiums for modern day psa 10s

Yep, could very well have been a 10 when it was graded

No, it’s BGS that puts the cards in protective inner sleeves.

The submitter obviously got some highly favorable treatment. Very common. Sliding around in a case does not cause that level of damage.

You can visually see where flecks of the surface have transferred to the sleeve/holder. Spots match up perfectly.

Did the owner play the bongos with it?

If you are correct, that is scary. And it just highlights why the inner sleeve in the BGS holders is so important.

PSA puts sleeves in all the time. It’s just not every time. Not sure if it’s by request but they absolutely do it

This one is clearly in a sleeve if you have eyeballs

I have tons that are in sleeves

like another poster mentioned, you can see the paint where it chipped off

What probably happened was that there was some moisture in the sleeve, the card got stuck to it and a good shake just took some of the finish off.

but to the other point, corners definitely can get dinged by the card moving around in the holder and you don't even have to sit there using it like a shakeweight

There's no way the card was graded this way and OP is just whining to whine

I was just curious as the card has 4 different points of damage on it and the bottom right corner is severe if you zoom in. And the card is in a sleeve so I don't understand the bouncing-around theory.

Why do you keep saying it’s in a sleeve? You are confusing PSA with BGS.

It’s not just BGS

PSA also sleeves cards. Just not all of them

I have plenty

Are you serious or trolling? Can you see the picture? PSA uses sleeves sometimes, especially with die-cut cards. All my 1983-84 Star basketball cards were returned with sleeves inside the holder on my last order.
