BGS 10 PRISTINE vs. PSA 10 GEM MINT for Key Rookie Cards

I wanted to start a dialogue as to thoughts of the debate of
BGS 10 PRISTINE versus PSA 10 GEM MINT

I have a 2011 Topps Update Wal-Mart Blue #US175 Mike Trout in BGS 10 PRISTINE that I purchased on 3/18/2020 for $14,450.
Its a POP 2 with None Graded Higher

At the same time a PSA 10 GEM MINT Walmart Blue (Pop 84) was selling for between $5,655.55 - $7,602.77.

Im contemplating selling the card, but would like to know thoughts on a current real value in today's market.

I have no idea of its current value, but a BGS 10 would sell for more than a PSA 10 in general.

BGS continues to fall in popularity, marketability, resale, etc. Even Pristine and Black Labels.

The Pristine Trout is still worth more than a PSA 10, but not as much as it used to be.

99% of these are trimmed. PSA 10s are no better. GLWS.

Don’t think you’d get much better than a 2x multiple on a PSA 10 right now for the Walmart Blue. Wide range the last couple of months for the PSA 10s.

The gap is going to continue to get closer and closer as time passes. The hobby has all but moved past BGS.

Trout stuff has softened since the pandemic peak. You may get a similar price to what you paid for it today, as psa 10’s go for the lower end range of what they were selling for in 2020.

$14k +/- 2k.

Like it or not, PSA has been #1 for a while and has only strengthened their hold. It doesn’t seem like scandals, or inconsistencies due to volume, can loosen their hold, so I don’t really see anything changing any time soon. Especially not in three years.

Even if our phones could do that, how would it protect it from being damaged after that phone scan grading?

The Beckett pop report is tainted by the Eagle Eye Joe scandal. Anyone who has a small grasp of population statistics understands why. He's a statistical anomaly and a clear outlier from the data group.

I still cant believe nothing more has been made of it.
