Default 2023 Topps Museum Collection

I have not seen any news on this release. This is one of the releases I look forward to the most. Did Museum Collection get discontinued?

I think it usually comes out later in the year...October November time. I don't believe it was on the list of discontinued products

Ah, not sure in prior years, but last year it came out in September or October . release date was early September but not sure if it kept getting pushed later as other products did.

It will definitely come. Topps has shuffled a few of their releases this year. Chrome came a little early. 2023 Topps Finest dropped just 6 months after 2022. Gypsy Queen super late. Would guess September/October as 2022 dropped September last year.

Museum collection is my favorite. Topps just sent my Bobby Abreu/Scott Rolen Jumbo Dual Autographed Bat Barrel relics booklet this week. I was worried it wasn’t gonna get made. I personally can’t wait for this and triple threads this year.

Sure, I’ll add a pic when I get home later today.

It's pretty awesome, you can see on both of them where the barrell connected with the ball. This one arrived last week. Hopefully your Larkin/Ripken Jr isn't to far behind.

Woah, if you ever move that, please let me know!!!

It's odd, because Larkin has live Barrel Auto in this product, and Ripken has a dual with Jeter that's live.

Not sure what the holdup is

Topps has it up for pre-order at $374.99.

Pre-Covid, Museum was in the $199.99 range. With singles continuing to tank and going back to pre-covid pricing.....how does $400 with tax even make sense?

Virtually none of today's wax prices make sense to collectors.

However, today's hobby is largely supported by breakers and the gambling addicts that are their customers...and they are completely price insensitive.

For a breaker, the difference between a $200 box and a $400 box is $6-7 per team.....and gamblers aren't going to really care if they're paying $7 or $13 for their shot at a $1000 card....that's the math that is driving the hobby right now.

Careful, you’ll be called a negative Nancy here by some. “If you don’t like it don’t buy it”. On the gilded thread, some guys were claiming that there is a subset of rippers where money is no object. They get together weekly and open cases of high end product.

Pre covid you could hit the "case hit" in a box and still lose money at $200 a box.. lol

Going to be a disaster for anyone paying $375

Undoubtedly true.

There are plenty of people in this country who are rich enough that they could flush $1000 down the drain every single day of the year without blinking an eye.

How do you think casinos make all their money.....for many high-rollers, gambling on cases of cards probably isn't any different than playing roulette or craps.

Complete waste of money. Spend your money on singles that you want. Price to open just ridiculous on this

I did a break yesterday and hit a sweet Momentous Materials Adrian Beltre Patch /5. It’s from the X in Texas patch. These are the kinds of hits that I love from this product. I do agree about the price point, but I enjoy the chase when I can do it.
