Usually my favorite of the early-releases, but I am not a fan of this year's design. I generally don't like cards that have the player with no background at all.

I’m a huge fan of the 20 year Status/Aspirations throwbacks that Elite has been doing. It’s a cool way to pair current cards to old ones

That Philly Team Lineage dual is a sick card

The base set looks like a half finished 2022 Prestige design with the background cropped out.

Team Lineage looks cool! I might have subbed out Vick in favor of Cunningham or Jaworski but I suppose all 21st century Eagles QBs makes sense.

The design is cool, but I agree, I'd prefer to have some background, as they look bland without it.

Maybe this could be a whole new set of parallels for Panini to try. They could go with all the same border colors that they do now and then do them all over again without any background. Then they could add a hundred cards to the checklist (but not of new players that don't have any cards, rather, one of each of the three players on each team that are in every single release, and just add a different pose preferably a horizontal version).

This year's design is a huge step down from previous years, which all sort of looked the same at least for 3-4 years now.

Oh please let them do a Sam LaPorta in the 2003 Elite Throwback series. It will pair perfectly with the Dallas Clarks from the original release.

Looked at the checklist, so no Bryce Young or C.J. Stroud autos. Are they not signing for Panini? I may have seen something on it on another forum, but can't remember.

No Young, Stroud or Levis unless otherwise stated. May be in some products but consider them not in a set unless it's mentioned.

I’m a die hard PSU fan. Ji’Ayer Brown is going to be a massive stud for your D and he’s not being talked about nearly enough. Just wait he’s going to be an All Pro player and you heard it from me first

Awesome.

I don't follow college ball but what I saw in highlights, I liked. Seemed to have a nose for the ball. great DBs just put themselves in a place to make a play and it appears this guy has it. I imagine he'll sit/learn this year unless Gipson (who was great last year but almost retired this offseason) starts to fall off or gets hurt.

I was excited to see him in this release - I know it's wishful thinking but would love if he was in a pro uni.

I was hoping for one of them to get a Pen Pals. No autos at all for the three, it looks like.

EDIT: There is a 23 card insert set called GOATBound that is all Montana. Interesting.

EDIT2: I get it now. It is spelling out his name like the spellbound cards. Joseph Clifford Montana Jr. I'd drive myself mad trying to put that together. Hard pass.

I watched one box get opened on youtube. The /999 base rookies were at worst in pro practice unis. I didn't see any Niners. Any rookie inserts were in college uni. Typical Elite as far as I can tell.

they did this last year for brady, but they can no longer use him in 2023 cards as he isn't part of the PA and is fanatics exclusive

I bought one and opened it for $295 and sold all the cards except the base for $590. So I guess its me I'm opening.
