Mike Trout Heritage Throwback Showoff Thread

As a collector since 2008, I have been a Mike Trout collector since he first hit the top prospect list.

Over the last umpteen years, my collection has evolved quite a bit, as I am sure yours has, but my one consistent through the years has been SSP Heritage Trout and specifically the Throwback Series.

Without further adoo, Below is my collection, 1 of two known of the ones available:

2014 PSA 8 (Only 4 graded by PSA with 1x9 and no 10's)
2015 PSA 10
(No 2016)
2017 PSA 10
2018 PSA 10
2019 PSA 10
2020 PSA 9 (No PSA 10's)
(No 2021)
2022 PSA 10 (Labeled "City Connect", but PSA put it as a "Throwback").

I am amazed at just how much these go for, even for much lesser names that Trout. Sure they are super short print, but so are a lot of things.

Super-shortprint as the marquee photo variant in a set that's super popular with set builders, especially set builders that love photo variants. They are less special now with alternate/city connect unis being worn so frequently and appearing on cards in every set, and that shows in pricing, I think. But the odds to hit one keep getting longer and longer so they're never cheap.

All facts. Very true to non-rare use of the alternate, special, and city jerseys, but still love Heritage making this a SSP. Rumors are to be only 25 made each, so for master set builders…makes it real hard.

My dream is to hit one, any one in a box…but has not happened yet.

Sweet stash! I've been lucky to hit one from a 2018 Heritage Hanger, but it was Eric Hosmer

Awesome collection. Only thing that would make it better is beyond your control: if the uniform pictured on each card was the correct uniform for the year that the Heritage release was replicating. (So, for example, for 2020 Heritage, Trout wears the Angels' 1972 uniform, but for 2016 Heritage he wears the 1968 uniform, etc)

That would be insane! But so cool if that were able to happen.
Perhaps Fanatics could make that happen with their control over MLB and Topps. ; )

just an amazing collection. I especially love the 2019, 2020 and the 2022. Have you considered a crack/resubmit for the 2014 if the back is ok? It looks like a great candidate for a bump.
