Default 2023 Donruss Parallels?

Curious, Where can I find all of these Parallels? I've watched a few breaks and ebay. I've notated next to what I have seen in Hobby Boxes. Are the different colors going to be different releases like Blasters, Retail, Hangers and such?

Does anyone know an easy way to tell in photos the difference between blue foil and Carolina blue foil? Also, does anyone know where the yellow version is supposed to be released?

Trying to complete this parallel set and I’m missing 5 of them.

Yellows were a Dollar Tree / Party City exclusive the past 2 years. The 2022 yellows are pretty rare, I'd imagine the 2023's to be the same.

Carolina Blue is lighter and closer to say, a Sky Blue, and whereas Blue Holo is darker, more like a Dodger Blue.

literally, today i learned:

carolina blue are found in retail and blue in hobby so that is one way if you know what kind of pack it came from.

another way is i think the carolina blue border almost looks more cyan than blue.

that said, i only opened a couple blaster packs so far so i've not seen the blue in person to see if it looks also cyan-like or is an obvious truer blue.

After looking at some breaks on YouTube, purples and raptures look like blaster exclusives, oranges and vectors are 30 card jumbo/hanger pack exclusives, and pinks and pink fireworks are mega exclusives.

I didn’t see any hanger box openings, which had oranges and diamonds last year, while the 2022 jumbo packs had holo reds so maybe they aren’t producing any hanger boxes for 2023.

And the lighter Carolina blues which are new are probably inserted across the different retail products while the darker blues are hobby only. I would have either gone with the Carolina blue/white like from 2021 Optic or a different theme all together.

I’m hoping to rip some if the price drops as I’ve always enjoyed this product.

When I was sorting my cards I noticed the difference.

I really noticed when I started to scan the cards

Thanks guys, I appreciate the he insight.

Trying to finish go the parallel run of the DK Piazza and it seems like the Pink, Carolina Blue, Plates, 1/1, /10 haven’t seen eBay yet.

It’s hard to justify $44.99 on a box hunting one card. Hopefully these hit eBay soon.

Figured the yellows were dollar general exclusives. I remember that from football. Doubt those have even come out yet.

Those foil oranges are hitting ebays as “golds”.

Wonder how many people are setting aside those Carolina Blues not realizing they are what they are.

I usually work on a Brandon Crawford foil rainbow each year and usually wait for them to hit COMC and then wait some more to see if they get discounted when they don’t immediately move since I care more about price than finishing the rainbow quickly lol.

And it’s a matter of time before folks who have eBay stores will bust large quantities of this stuff and then throw up multilistings of all of their pinks and purples. And I have to figure these will hit Sportlots very soon as well, if they haven’t already since this stuff is massively printed.

I also think I saw a member who has direct wholesale connections for retail and busts large quantities mention in another thread that his prices are much higher this year so if that’s true, these cards might take longer to trickle out for sale. Good luck!

This product is being opened a lot more than 2023 Topps series 2. I was able to build the majority of my team sets in the first 2 weeks of release.

I usually don’t buy stuff at release so I haven’t been following closely but I just looked on a BO competitor’s site and they are sold out of hobby boxes and offering $1600 cash for a sealed 16 box hobby case, which seems pretty wild given what the wax market has looked like for a lot of other products.

I usually wait a while as well, but prices were good and so much of what I wanted was posted very quickly. It was a perfect storm of buying. I wish all releases went like that!

Awesome! I'm jealous that there's a really nice selection of Rockies legends and prospects.

I was also super bummed to not see Buster Posey in the 1990 retros subset because that was one of my first introductions to baseball cards and the holos that I've seen on breaks look awesome. And I busted a lot of discounted 2022 retail and the 88 retros are just such an eyesore IMO so I wanted a change of pace.

I bought some fat packs on Target on impulse against my better judgement and actually pulled a base auto. jeremy de la rosa. not huge but I dont think Ive ever gotten more than a mem from Donruss fat packs before.
Usually try to do a rainbow myself each year but dunno if I'm going to this time even though the cards are nice

I also impulse bought at Target, for me it was a blaster. It's my first experience with modern Donruss. I liked it more than I expected, it's good seeing some veterans I hadn't heard of (unlike Topps recycling the same 20 veterans every year).

Getting back on topic, out of my blaster I had a 1990 Carolina blue and a 1990 holo red /2023.

Wanted to offer up a quick update on this product - I was able to complete all of my team sets in near record time from this product. Lots of it hit eBay over the summer / fall - I even made a yellow dollar tree team set, and those cards seem to be rather rare. Thanks to all who actually break this and sell. Donruss will always be one of my favorite products. Kinda sad we may never see it again (in baseball).
